Lee and Veloy Dickson
Dad and Mom will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with our family at “The Property,” our favorite family fun place and picnic area on Saturday.
They were married August 10, 1956 in the Salt
Lake Temple. Mom worked as a secretary at Hill Field and the University of Utah while Dad continued his education. He graduated in 1964 from the University of Utah with a PhD in Electrical Engineering. He taught at Weber State University and retired from there in 1997 after teaching for thirty-four years.
They are active members of the LDS Church and have served in many
callings. They served a mission together in Cambodia and were ordinance workers in the Ogden Temple for nine
years.
Dad was the family’s handyman, a job that he has now passed on to Zac (his grandson). He enjoys growing a garden and supervising the family in whatever they are doing. Mom keeps busy with Family History and Indexing.
They are the proud parents of five children:
Gwen (Roger) Rich, Lance (dec.), Erika (Aaron) Bettinson, Mark (Carrie) Dickson and Tonya (dec.). They have 12 grandchildren and 7 (soon to be 8) great-grandchildren.
