We had a Tonks Family Reunion at the Property on Saturday. 14 of the 22 grandkids (and their families) were there. We are all first cousins, grand-children of Frank and Flora Tonks. Gwen (me), Mark (my brother), Troy Tonks (Uncle Larry's boy), Erika in front (my sister), Casey in back (Uncle Blaine's boy), Brett (Uncle Blaine's boy), Laurie (Aunt Jolene's girl), Stormy (the youngest - Uncle Blaine's girl), David (Aunt Jolene's boy) Mary and Michael and Richard (Uncle Larry's kids), Kim and Russell (Aunt Jolene's kids) 4 grandkids are deceased (Lance, Tonya, Danny, and Candy) 4 grandkids didn't make it (Stephen and Aaron - Uncle Larry's boys) and Susan and Heidi (Aunt Jolene's girls).
We had a great time, and had such a good turn out. I didn't even bother to try and get a picture of the GREAT grandkids, there were too many !
Richard and I were talking, and he said as he drove by Dad's garden on the way in, "The corn sure misses Lee". Thanks Richard - haha
It is so true.
2025 garden - it is so sad. We have tried our best, and watered it regularly...........but look at it this year compared to.............
2015 - Dad just did an amazing job. I don't think we'll ever be able to be as good as he was :(

When Cam was up here visiting, Tagg and Thatcher wanted her to sleep overnight on the tramp.
The next day, she said it was one of the most HORRIBLE nights she ever had.......... Yup - sleeping on the tramp is HARD (I know from experience)
That night before they went to sleep, we slipped down to the property to have some s'mores
Next morning I had them all over for PANCAKES !!
And a little UNO
A couple of mornings later - I had a WILD idea to make waffles......... FIRST TIME EVER ! I borrowed CJ's waffle iron, and my mom's waffle recipe
Some of the mishaps were: Tripling the recipe (in error), dropping all of the egg whites on the floor, filling the waffle iron too full............
But in the end, they turned out JUST RIGHT
Fresh strawberries and powered sugar made them EXTRA scrumptious
Later that day, after Payson's baseball game, we brought home some MORE yahoos Love this picture of Cam and Bright (two girlies on the phone)
Payson seriously can't take a SERIOUS picture Bright all ready to go with her stuffed animals - can you say ANOTHER SLEEPOVER !?!?!?
Of course we had to check out the goats
And play in the barn
Then disaster struck - with a HURT TOE
Blood and tears galore !
Back to the Property for s'more S'MORES !!!!
Back home to feed baby goats - this time with Elliot's help

Shower time is always SO MUCH FUN Here they are pretending to be sad little girls
Next morning we broke out the left over waffles
Then crazy Grandma said, "How about we break out the CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN?" Grandpa about had a heart attack !
Even though Grandma put it together upside down...........
Everyone LOVED it - including Grandpa

I did get them all together for a picture !!! This is one we'll do every year - Re-Create again and again.......
Then CJ brought down a baby humming bird she found, and they tried to revive it with water, but it died in their hands :(
A burial at "creek" was in order........
Was our day ended? Nope - back to the barn (to feed baby goats), and play.
Then Mom and Dad showed up with Bexlee, and we swung on the swing some more
A good time was had by all !! Now Grandma and Grandpa are EXHAUSTED !!!
