Poster Boy

Thatch's gymnastics wrapped up for the year, and they took pics.  Imagine our surprise when they chose his picture to REPRESENT USA GYMNASTICS WORLD on the cover of their website.
The year end banquet with Mom and Dad and coaches was a success.
He will continue with Gymnastics.  At this time he goes 4 days a week, and loves it!
He is developing his upper body strength, and new routines are being introduced.
Go Thatcher !

Trip to Temple Square - West Porterville Relief Society

This is our group, just before we went into The Garden Restaurant at the top of the Joseph Smith Building.
Sherrie just LOVES me to take her picture :)
The food was WONDERFUL !!
Sister Julia Fisher who serves with President Fisher over the Temple Square Mission gave us a guided tour of the mission headquarters in the basement of the South Visitor's Center
Then over to the tabernacle
Sage was able to meet with a sister from Lousiana, where Sage is going to be serving in October.
We toured under the tabernacle, and saw the "back stage" of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square's "digs"
We also saw where the sister missionaries who serve in the Temple Square Mission, talk with investigators.
It was a wonderful time spent together.

Work is Rewarding

I should have had a BEFORE BEFORE picture.  The dirt was bad, full of clay, and debris from the building of the house 11 years ago.  Mom wanted to get a fresh start, so we took about 5 tractor scoops of "junk" out, and added a couple of scoops of good dirt, mixed with some soil pep, and other good things.
Then she replanted most of the perennials she had saved.  It was a GOOD JOB DONE :)
Love this two !
Mom takes such good care of Dad
His worsening eyesight is hard for him.
Watering later in the evening.  See the first POOR POOR row of corn?  The next row isn't much better, but we are hopeful for the last 3 rows (fingers crossed).  The peas and onions are doing well, after a slow start.
We still have wells of water around the tomatoes.  Carrots and beets are planted in the "box" in the forefront.
