Merry Christmas from US

I am so thankful for our Savior - because of HIM, we can be together with our loved ones who have died.  We know they are with HIM, and we WILL see them again.  They will LIVE again, and so will we, because of our Savior.

It happened !  After a few long years, a mission, marriage, 3 babies, full-time employment.........  He did it, and we are so so proud.

In my Window

This small sign in my kitchen window - I'll never forget the day when Payson,our grandson was about 5 years old, and a good reader for his young age, saw this sign and was able to read it.  And it just struck him so profoundly.  He looked at me with the biggest smile on his face, and said, "Grandma !!!  That sign says, "My favorite people call me Grandma!" and You're my Grandma, so I must be one of your favorite people !!"  The look of happiness and wonder and accomplishment on his face and in his eyes is something I'll never forget.  It was like he had just discovered the secret to the universe with reading, and having it pertain to him and the love all wrapped up in it.  It was something I"ll never forget, and I was so happy to be a part of that moment !! 

These small salt-shakers of Mr. and Mrs. Santa were my Grandma Tonks'  They are antiques, don't know if they are valuable or not........probably not, they say "Made in China", but they mean alot to me.

It's been almost a year (in February) - and I haven't killed it yet !!  Sherilee Olson gave it to me last February.  I've loved looking at the flowers that have never stopped blooming.  Whenever I forget to water it,  the stems immediately begin to droop, so I water it back up, and Voila!  They perk right back up.

I love all of it, but what struck me were these things..........
No spoken words
There wasn't a mean innkeeper........  and they were welcomed, but there just wasn't a private place.
A woman was there to welcome them, and then Joseph went to get a woman, who led them to a more private place for Mary to give birth.
There was a female shepherd.
The wisemen didn't come the night he was born, but about 2 years later (true to the story - but often missed in the retelling)
The look on the wise man's face as he knelt before the 2-year old boy..... I can't watch that part without crying.
The joy and FEELING as he knelt before this little boy, who would grow up and SAVE US ALL.
Please watch it if you haven't, you won't be sorry.

A Little bit of THIS.....and a Little bit of THAT.............

A couple of weeks ago we got busy helping to install an outlet (between my parent's two easy chairs).  We had to get down in the crawler to run the line.  

While we were down there, we also ran another heat duct line to the far corner of their bathroom.  This helped add to the warmth near the shower.  Happy early Merry Christmas !! 

In the middle of it all, we fixed tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.  There were eight of us there.........   Guess how many sandwiches we went through?   18 !!!  Those boys (and men) are BIG eaters !!  Mom said, should we start with 4-cans of soup............HAHA !  I said 2 1/2 time that Mom :)  

We also got the angel put up near Ambure's grave (and Tonya's and Lance's).  I sure like the way it turned out.  Not bad for  $5 deal on Morgan Mom's.  We took out the lights, and added about 50 zip ties to put it back together.  LOVE IT !

My good friends Lynelle and Sherilee worked on a tree for the Festival of Trees.  One of these day's I'm going to have TWO trees, and do one of them ONLY in Savior related ornaments.  (I have so many already) - I love this. 

Someone sweet in AZ is coming to visit us - one week from today :) 

Had to post this !  Bren was stylin' on Thanksgiving Day :)  

Bex got the throwup BUG a week or so ago........  All day snuggling (and puking) in Mom's arms.  Poor thing.

The Morgan County Christmas Party - Sandy's Fine Foods catered it, and it was YUMMY ~   Who's that in the red on the left with the stylin' red earrings from Ivory and Birch !!??  

One day, later in the afternoon, Zac and CJ and boys got stuck in Ogden shopping.  It was Grandma Gwen to the rescue (Grandpa Roger was sick with the stomach bug),.  I still have it !   Fed those noisy goats like a CHAMP !!

I was lucky enough to get to help with the West Porterville Ward food drive.  This was organized in a matter of days, and you cannot believe the response !!  You know many of us have willingly set a few (many) can of food on our porch for a food drive.  I myself, have never been on the other end of things.............WOW  that is alot of works, unbagging, distributing to families identified only by Family #1, #2, and so forth......., and don't forget delivering.  It was so fulfilling to help, and I was the lucky recipient to deliver one of the deliveries myself.  So so appreciative and tears were shed !   It was wonderful. 

Rich Family Christmas Party

It was another bowling alley adventure, and Brenda and Nikki (from Linda's family) did such a great job.  I just love this picture.  Let me tell you a little about it.  Bex was off playing, and Landon picked up Asher, Layna's youngest.  As soon as Bex saw someone she didn't know in her daddy's arms, she ran to him, just a bawling !!  He picked her up too, and Asher, thinking a kiss and hug would make her feel better, leaned in for a smooch.  It was the cutest thing ever.  Wish I got it on video.......  She stopped crying immediately, and returned and kiss and hug.   So so sweet.

Christmas Village with the Littles...........

First we went to Wendy's for a hamburger.  The kids must have been hungry, because they ate so well !  They are crazy and goofy and we love them. 

On the way to Christmas Village we saw the temple

Then the village came in view, and they were so excited. 

The night was cold, but not too cold.  They were dressed all warm, and were running and having fun.  It wasn't too hard to keep them with us, but we had to hustle, that's for sure. 

Every display had a small yeti, about 3 inches tall hidden somewhere among the Christmas scenes.  This made for such a fun time for the kids, as they were searching and searching for the elusive YETI !

Half way through I broke out the thermos of hot chocolate, and we even added mini marshmallows.  The kids loved it. 

All in all the night was a total hit. 

They really have a bunch of fun things in the Christmas Village square. 

And these kids are not shy for the camera :)

Thanksgiving 2019

We had a wonderful houseful !

The boys are always excited to see Lance (and all Erika's kids) - they are so good with them. 

After eating, we went to the Property for the annual Thanksgiving Burn. 

It's all fun and games until hair catches fire !
