November so far.......

Tagg finished up his football season - they made it to the Semi finals before being beat out.  There he is, front and center - #44 with the bright fluorescent green/yellow socks !   It has been great to watch all of our grandsons play football this fall.  With 4 boys playing over the next 8 years, we are going to be going to ALOT of games :)
Tagg also plays percussion, and it's always great to see him perform in a concert.
Wrestling has started up !!
Oh boy - I think these boys are serious this time.
All three, Treyson, Tagg, and Thatcher are competing.
Our Saturdays will be full for the next 3 months :)
Treyson and Cooper (a friend)
Last night, we went to Bear River (It's been 15 years since we went there when Landon was a Seniorl)
Treyson wrestled an exhibition match.  He weighs 189 pounds.  He beat the kid with a pin in the 2nd period.  We stayed to watch the Varsity Duels, and Morgan came off with the win !!
A couple of weeks ago, we traveled to St. George for UAC meetings, and one of the afternoons, Roger and I went into Zion National Park on Electric bikes.  It's the same route I traveled last July at Assessor's summer workshop.  I was so happy that Roger humored me, and put a big smile on his face and agreed on this adventure.  He's the best !!
Then we travelled on to Arizona, to visit with Manda, Brendon, and Cam.  We did some HONEY DO's.  Here is Cam, helping out.  It was so good to see them all :)
By the fire pit
Clean Garage !   Wish I could have taken a BEFORE picture.
Baseboards installed !!
While we were there, Payson Facetimed us, to proudly show off his hunter safety award !!!
Rog even took his chainsaw, and we got some wood cut up so they could more easily use it in their firepit.  You can't tell/see it, but at the far left end are the pieces he cut.  These big ones are the ones that were too big for the chainsaw, and we didn't have the wood-splitter :(
Oh Bex !!  She is quite the girl.  Pink hair, wearing a dress, and playing around the edges of the basketball court while we watch Brightyn play.
Boy that girl can MOVE !!  She was the fastest runner up and down the court, that's for sure :)
Rog and I were able to get our BOOSTER vaccine  - YEAH !!
One evening I took Thatcher down to his baseball clinic in West Haven (his mom was having an Ivory and Birch party, and Zac and Rog were with Treyson at a wrestling meet in SLC).  After we got home he was hungry, and it was a over easy EGG Sandwich that he wanted for dinner.
Hugs from Dad after his wrestling meet on Saturday at Weber High School.  He had four matches, and won 2 and lost 2.  He was all smiles.
Tagg and Thatcher, watching Thatch's match, and getting pointers from big brother.
Grandma Ben came too, and she had some words of advice.  I can just picture her saying, "PUT HIM ON HIS BACK!!", but actually they were talking about something totally different (haha).
My friend Sherilee sent me this picture taken at Jared's (her son) 10th birthday party.  There is Landon on the right (head tipped to the side).  Payson is almost his age (now)
in this picture.  Crazy how life changes over 20+ years time.

Well, it's 6:35 am - the day before Thanksgiving.  I've taken the day off to prepare.  Lots to do today, so I better get busy.  We will have my parents, and Erika's family, and our boys and their families to dinner.  Then we will have our annual sleepover with the grandkids, while the parents shop.

Not sure how much shopping Kacey will be doing this year, as she will be going into the hospital on Monday (hopefully) to have labor started.  This time next week, we'll have another grandbaby girl.

Life is good, and we have much to be grateful for !

Zooming back to church

We are back to church !  Sacrament meetings started last Sunday, either in person, or watching via Youtube live.   Then after that, everyone goes home, and participates in a Zoom meeting (Relief Society, Priesthood, etc).  I was able to get Dad .........
and Mom hooked up so they could watch and listen.
Here is my Zoom Relief Society meeting.  It was great to see everyone.
We had 36 participating.  Glad we are back !!

"May" be I can Catch Up

We are back up and running at work - with Plexiglas in place.

Of course - not all is well in my book !?!?!?!?!?!

Zac is working on the stock trailer
It needs ALOT of work !

New Bikes - Grandma is NERVOUS

The garden is coming along, and we have started watering, and IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM

Glad for HELMETS

Elbow is on the mend

We had to cover, and we still lost some plants to the FROST
Bring on SUMMER !!

Snazzy gear - Snazzy kid - Snazzy bike
But he wore the kick starter off REALLY QUICK :)

Mom decided to plant the beans along the fence this year.

As we get the sprinkling system ready to go every year, it seems there are always a problem or two......or in this case........ a new pump was needed........ (YIKES!)

Mom and Me

Bright came up to me, and very quietly said, "I've read the rules, and I'm ready to walk on the bridge now"   Such a sweetheart - love that girl.

Beautiful East Canyon Creek - looking North.  They haven't put in the Welch Ditch Dam yet.

Oh the things my man will do for me, if I ask sweetly........
Love you ROGER D.
(The tree is all cleaned up, and ready for grandkids, thanks to his trusty chainsaw)

Walking home from the Property one night.  Sun was sure SORE on my eyes.  I had to keep looking down it was so bright.  I was glad when Rog picked me up halfway across the Lane.

Watching Dad weld on his motorcycle pipe.

Do you relate !?!

Sweet Bexlee - I remember this dress !
Bright was wearing it 4 years ago (2016), while Zac and CJ were building their home.  I have a picture of Bright IN THE MUD in this dress.  Looks no worse for wear :)  I'm glad Kacey kept it.

Some painting/staining in the Dog Room goin' on.

Pool Time !

The other night, Landon called me and asked, "What was that book about a man and his steam shovel?"  Made me so happy.  I ordered up the book, and sent it on it's way, straight to Landon so he could read his kids the most loved book from his childhood.  "Mike Mulligan, and his Steam Shovel".  I also ordered a new one for our house, and when Zac and the kids came over on Mother's Day evening, he proceeded to read it with Thatcher.  One of the BEST BOOKS EVER !

Remember the iris garden we dug out?  Well, it's all fixed up now, emptied, sprayed, weed barrier put down, and nice grey rock on top.  Thanks to Tagg for the help :)

Looks good, and Grandma D is very happy. g

Playing Catch-up.............

We got busy............and I got lazy............and then something fouled up with my picture downloads from my icloud phone account into my computer............and then I finally figured it out.  So..... I am playing catch-up for the last part of April.

Sometimes when I walk into work at 7am in the mornings, it is absolutely beautiful light !
I caught the YARDMASTERS hard at work at Sarah Swans one  morning.  It's one of their harder ones.
Mom's iris patch was overrun with grass.  We dug it all out with the help of Treyson and Tagg.
Then we went down to the PIT and cleaned it out too.
Getting warm by the fire.
It was time to plant the first rows of corn.  Thatcher was a great helper.
Tagg had a mishap, and broke one of his fake teeth off.  I can't remember when or what he did, but here's proof of the unfortunate incident.
Mom and Dad - Grandpa and Grandma "D"
Thatcher and Grandpa Jim
One day we decided to clean up a little bit at the far North end of the Property.  We put Tagg in Grandpa D's waders (he's the only one whose feet will still fit in them), and he was our CREEK helper.
Rake, Rake, Rake - Burn, Burn, Burn
Treyson trying out the old motorcycle.  This used to be Dad's, then Zac and Landon rode it everyday to the mink farm when they were teenagers, working for Marv Dawson.  It's been parked for many years.

Here's a still picture of Tagg BEFORE he took chainsaw in hand, and proceeded to cut away (see video)

It's worth the watch - A little scary, a little bit of yelling, a little bit of reassuring.........

CJ brought down Breakfast Burritos for the hard workers.
I finally got my favorite picture BLOWN up, and put in the frame that I painted..........
It will probably take me another year to get it hung :(
Landon received this notice from Weber State University.
No walking and receiving a diploma from the podium with COVID 19 (not that he would have walked anyway)
We are getting TIRED of this COVID 19 quarantine .............
It will be interesting to look back IN HINDSIGHT - and see just who was right.
I know though, that Heavenly Father is watching over us.  Good times are ahead.
Thatcher is still practicing gymnastics -
WOW how limber is that?!?!
We all gathered on the Courthouse lawn to see the fighter jets from HAFB flyover.  They went from HAFB, south to St. George, and back up to Logan before returning to base, to THANK the hard-working healthcare workers who are battling COVID 19 on the front lines.
What a sight !!!
