Odds and Ends

My good friend Amy Jo - turned 50!  Can't believe that it was 2002 when we went on a cruise to celebrate her mom's 50th birthday !!  Where have the years gone.  Amy was surprised by her family and friends on March 7th in Richfield.  I wasn't able to go down, but Jenni did.  I'm sure glad she got to have this big surprise and celebration before all of this social distancing began !  Heck, on the 7th, we were all still blissfully unaware that our world was about to be turned upside down.
This was my last day at the temple.  I'm sure missing it now.  Funny how when you can't attend things, or things are closed, and everyone's lives have changed, that you sure miss it even more.
On St. Patrick's Day - - Janell's family stopped by the office to brighten everyone's spirits.
Well, my tulips sure are HARDY !!  We thought we had them all DUG UP before we planted the sod.  NOT SO !!  Here there are, poking their pesky little sprouts up through the grass.
We picked up a big brush attachment for the grasshopper last fall.  It has worked really well, at thatching the the old grass.   Rog puts on goggles, because it's quite a mess.  He is covered by the time he is finished.
Later in the day we went down to the Property and started raking a little.
Thatch and I drug this big limb down to the burn pile.
Tagg made a TOTEM for the Tree house - A BIG "T" !!
Thatch wanted me to come up and check out what they had up there.
Their treasure box, filled with treasures.   Snowmobile weights, keys, Jeep decal, poolstick, small brush  - fun stuff !!

Busy Here...........Busy There

Spring is just around the corner.
Our winter supply of hay ran out, so we had to go and get some more.  While we were getting it in the barn, Miss Piggy snuck out of the barnyard (see her there in the background?)  Then the goats made a break for it !  It was crazy town for a little bit there.  We should start seeing our new baby goats for the year starting April 11th (5 months from when we put the buck in)
Our baby chicks are keeping warm.........even with the unexpected snow storm !
Green frosting for the sugar cookies for "Thanks" Patrick's Day
The boys went bowling with Nana Daw, Grandpa Jim, and Rylee while Zac and CJ were gone on vaca.
We took the older boys down to their music lessons in Layton.  Here's Tagg with his teacher.
Such concentration !
Someone lost a tooth !
Or I should say the dentist pulled it - it was ready to come out !
Utah History Fair - Rocks Rocks Rocks
Miss Brightyn LOVES her Chicky
She accidentally dropped it, and Bandit got it in his mouth until I said LEAVE IT!..........and he did !
No harm, No foul.........haha
Then we went into the barnyard, and she loved on the goaties.
With here LOL Doll
She LOVES them !

Payson had a program at school - The Kindy 500 (Indy 500), where they all made a "car", and paraded past the parents and grandparents, and around the school (across the United States).  First they had a patriotic program, where they sang 4 songs (one of them is below). It was a great program.  He has a great teacher.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

In past years, we've put on a spread.  Really gone all out at times !
My goodness - look how YOUNG they all look.
Don't we all !?  I think this was in 2011
This year we were concentrating on Tagg's Leprechaun Trap.  We a little (lot) of help from Dad (Zac), the trap he had envisioned came to life.  First came a rotted out old tree from down at the Property.
It was transformed into THIS magnificent trap.
Check out the video of how it works.

The boys are wearing these LUCKY GREEN shirts to school today, announcing the BIGGEST SURPRISE of all............
Click on the picture to read up close, their BIG ANNOUNCEMENT.
They and their parents and ALL OF US, couldn't be happier.

Green Day

Yesterday we were invited over to Zac and CJ's for dinner. We had green water, green butter to go on rolls, and green Tater Tot casserole. The boys and CJ were dressed in green, green tablecloth, green shamrock painted on Treyson's face. I got pinched, because I didn't have any green on me ! Treyson told me the leprechauns were going to get me. Thanks to CJ for going all out, and making it a fun day for everyone :)
