Our Life Lately

Supporting Brightyn at her tumbling meets when possible.

Landon is competing in the Crossfit open
Tagg in in the Drum "group" during a concert at the high school
CJ couldn't go, and so I was lucky to get the extra ticket.
A day in the ER, with suspected "heart" issues.........that turned out to be nothing but a big expense :(
Payson is going to Chaos Fitness (see far right with the scowl on his face)
Treyson is FINALLY off the scooter (8 weeks non-weight bearing) since his operation in January.
Thatcher was Abe Lincoln in the Wax Museum at the Elementary School
This boy turned 9 years old - loving his new sunglasses for baseball :)
I'm texting (almost daily) with Brightyn.  We send funny memes back and forth.  She usually makes me laugh out loud !
Bexlee is 3 years old !   She doesn't look too impressed with her Anna/Elsa sing-a-long microphone, but she really does like it.

Cool Dude
Pretty girl in her tumbling TUTU
Happy Birthday Bex !!

Tagg is going to The Weight Room and enjoying keeping fit
CJ is working up a storm with her Ivory & Birch business
Thatcher is going full bore in gymnastics
We got our first round of COVID vaccines
Grandma Ben is doing Crossfit with the 60+ bunch 3 times a week
Cam is still working hard, and we sure enjoy it when we can facetime with her.  Looking forward to visiting with them in May for her birthday.

Thatcher - gymnastics

We were able to go to his first meet at his gym in West Bountiful, with proper masks and social distancing.
I've got videos that I will post to You Tube, but haven't got that far yet.
Here he is running to do his vault. There is his coach Adam in the background.
They give him FULL attention - there is NO missing around.
Teammates
Good job Thatcher !
Proud Grandparents :)

Our Gymnast

Thatcher continues with gymnastics, going 3 days a week to Bountiful.  It is a big time commitment for both him and his family (mostly mom).  He enjoys it, and is improving all the time.
We haven't seen any of these moves in person, but are really impressed, compared to what he could do a year ago.

Makes my ABS hurt, just looking at this pic !!
This too !!

We don't know if we will be able to go and see in person, any of his competitions this coming season.  Dang Covid :(  The last time we went to a competition was at the end of February in 2020, when we traveled to Vegas with Zac and CJ, right before COVID hit, and life as we knew it ended.

We hope we will be able to support Thatcher and ALL of our grandkids in their various sports and competitions this Winter, and into next year.  We will do our best, but I think it will look a little different than it has in the past unfortunately.

Playing Catch-up.............

We got busy............and I got lazy............and then something fouled up with my picture downloads from my icloud phone account into my computer............and then I finally figured it out.  So..... I am playing catch-up for the last part of April.

Sometimes when I walk into work at 7am in the mornings, it is absolutely beautiful light !
I caught the YARDMASTERS hard at work at Sarah Swans one  morning.  It's one of their harder ones.
Mom's iris patch was overrun with grass.  We dug it all out with the help of Treyson and Tagg.
Then we went down to the PIT and cleaned it out too.
Getting warm by the fire.
It was time to plant the first rows of corn.  Thatcher was a great helper.
Tagg had a mishap, and broke one of his fake teeth off.  I can't remember when or what he did, but here's proof of the unfortunate incident.
Mom and Dad - Grandpa and Grandma "D"
Thatcher and Grandpa Jim
One day we decided to clean up a little bit at the far North end of the Property.  We put Tagg in Grandpa D's waders (he's the only one whose feet will still fit in them), and he was our CREEK helper.
Rake, Rake, Rake - Burn, Burn, Burn
Treyson trying out the old motorcycle.  This used to be Dad's, then Zac and Landon rode it everyday to the mink farm when they were teenagers, working for Marv Dawson.  It's been parked for many years.

Here's a still picture of Tagg BEFORE he took chainsaw in hand, and proceeded to cut away (see video)

It's worth the watch - A little scary, a little bit of yelling, a little bit of reassuring.........

CJ brought down Breakfast Burritos for the hard workers.
I finally got my favorite picture BLOWN up, and put in the frame that I painted..........
It will probably take me another year to get it hung :(
Landon received this notice from Weber State University.
No walking and receiving a diploma from the podium with COVID 19 (not that he would have walked anyway)
We are getting TIRED of this COVID 19 quarantine .............
It will be interesting to look back IN HINDSIGHT - and see just who was right.
I know though, that Heavenly Father is watching over us.  Good times are ahead.
Thatcher is still practicing gymnastics -
WOW how limber is that?!?!
We all gathered on the Courthouse lawn to see the fighter jets from HAFB flyover.  They went from HAFB, south to St. George, and back up to Logan before returning to base, to THANK the hard-working healthcare workers who are battling COVID 19 on the front lines.
What a sight !!!
