Halloween - what a fun night.

Started out at Zac and CJ's eating worms in dirt, and monster fingers.

Then we all piled into the Suburban with Roger D. driving.

Landon and Treyson were gorillas,
Tagg was Spiderman,
CJ had been ravished by both Edward and Jacob, and had evidence to prove it !
Oh, and I almost forgot, Kacey was a.......UTE fan !! haha.

We had much fun, despite the rain. There were a few mishaps, falling off porches, and over rocks. Stepping in BIG DEEP puddles, etc, but we kept smiling and laughing.

Hearing over and over again, "Trick or Treat, Smell my feet, give me something good to eat". Three hours of in and out of the "burban", walking, and scaring whoever we could, thanks to the Gorillas.

A GREAT time was had by all. Thanks to CJ and Landon and Kacey for their good humor and help. We love you all !

Tip Toe Through the Tulips with Tagg

I know, they aren't REALLY tulips :)

What a sweetheart. He ALWAYS comes running, throws his arms around me, so very happy to see me. He calls me Gwama Gwen, Gwama, and sometimes mom. I get to watch him for an hour every Monday during my lunch hour while CJ takes Treyson to Speech. We go downstairs in the toy room and read books, and play with matchbox cars. I lay down on the floor with him, and just enjoy the time we have to spend together.

Star Struck - after the fact.

Last Saturday I went to the Salt Lake Temple with Landon and Kacey. We parked under the Conference Center, and caught the elevator up to street level. There was an older gentleman who entered the elevator just before we did. I noticed that he was limping a little bit.

As we entered, I was looking at my parking stub, and Landon asked me if I shouldn't have left it on the dash of my car. This older gentleman kindly interrupted, and mentioned that we would need that stub to get our parking token at the Temple recommend desk. I noticed as I looked directly into his face as he was speaking, that he had a VERY nice smile. Then IT HIT ME !!! OH MY HECK !!!

We stepped out of the elevator, and it was all I could do not lose it right there. My eyes were as big as saucers, and I grabbed Landon's arm, and started walking faster, and gibberish came out of my mouth......... "THAT WAS ALAN OSMOND !!"

Kacey and Landon's reply................"Who?"

Puh-lease, what is this world coming to? How have we failed the younger generation?

My sister is used to seeing, meeting, and conversing with famous people, but not me !! I didn't even have the nerve to turn and say, "Why Brother Osmond, are you attending the temple today? "So are we!, would you care to share a session?"

Anyhoo.......... it made my day :)

For all you YOUNGSTERS reading.............. THIS is was Alan looked like, BACK IN THE DAY.

Gotta love the 70's !!

What fun we had !

I brought up Manda's old organ from downstairs, and Cam proceeded to rock out. Notice the money in front of the organ? That was my payment for her to perform :)

Would the REAL cowboy please stand up?

I've got to post this story. I keep thinking of it, and I burst out laughing. I've retold the story a few times, and maybe I'm the only one who really "gets" it. Maybe you had to be there. I'm glad I was.

Last week as Cam and I were going through security at the airport, there was this "dude" in front of us.......in designer cowboy boots, bandanna around one of the boots, tight low-cut jeans, no cowboy hat, you get the picture. You couldn't help but notice the guy, and even though I didn't say a word to Cam, she had obviously noticed him.

When we were through security, and walking towards her gate, Cam turns to me and asks, "Did you see that guy back there with the cowboy boots?", I acknowledged to her that I had. She then made the statement, "He looked ridiculous !"

I smiled and agreed, and proceeded to tell her that there are "cowboy wannabe's" in the world, that really aren't REAL cowboys, but just want to look like one.

Then she says, THIS classic line. "I know grandma, some guys are just BORN cowboys". "Grandpa Roger was born a real cowboy, and for some reason he just decided he wanted to work at the bakery when he grew up".

TOO funny !! Maybe you had to be there, but no lie, I'm STILL chuckling :)

Can you spot the REAL and FAKE cowboys below?

Can you name them all? Leave a comment.

BTW, I had a blast putting this post together :)

Yes, this is one of the REAL ones.
If you are a TRUE blogstalker, you WILL know who this is :)

Urban Cowboy......sigh..............

5 points extra if you can name his faithful sidekick

Love this guy - wish we had another one like him
Another President that is.

Yes, I'm drooling.....
One of my all time favorites :)

But this is #uno in my book of course.
Did you hear they are remaking the movie ???
It comes out on Christmas Eve I believe.
Jeff Bridges will play Rooster, and Matt Damon, the Texas Ranger.
Josh Brolin will play the guy Maddie Ross is after.

For the Grandkids

Roger's FA-VO-RITE - NOT !!

Uh....more drooling ;)

10 points extra for this one

Only a true PBR fan would know :)

2 points a piece, and an extra 5 if you can name that WONDERFUL movie

This one's for you Manda

Hunka Hunka Burnin' Cowboy.....

WORST cowboy of ALL TIME, IMHO
I will never forgive him for what he did to the DUKE

He was in too many westerns to count - but can you name him?

Can you name his horse too? - 2 points extra if you can

Bad guy you end up loving !

My Roger will hate me for this one above.
NOT his favorite ;)

He'll probably hate me for this one too :)
But see, Cam was right !

Name the cowboy (easy)
Name the show (pretty easy)
Name the OTHER cowboy in the show (harder)
Name his GIRLFRIEND in the show (hardest)

Liked him best in Quigley Down Under

Who was his girlfriend?
br />

Shoulda been a cowboy.....

HaHa - someone's going to get a kick out of this !

Funny story - we used to call them "Wes - truns" around our house for many years. This cowboy in the picture above, never could say it right when he was little, and so we all started copying him. Sometimes it still pops out, "Let's watch a Wes-trun !"

Project of the Month

I saw this panel in Walmart, and thought of my sister :) She HATES/HATED? the Wicked Witch of the West ever since she was a little girl. I was going to make this for her as a surprise.

Then plans changed, we went back to Walmart to get 3 MORE so I could do one for Cam, Treyson andTagg too, and they had a run on the witch, and I could only come up with 3 total.
Sorry Kuk, the kids won out :) If you find a panel, I'll make one for you though - I promise !!

Here's another example of how HARD it is to get a decent picture of all 3 kids.
Cam is a trooper, but the little boys just don't get the hang of it, the sun was in their eyes - PLUS, I needed to be up on a ladder shooting down I guess.

Anyway, they all turned out pretty cute. How would YOU like to cuddled by the Wicked Witch of the West ??
