Thatcher was about to try out water skiing with his Hansen friend on the land

Zac also hiked Lone Peak - by himself !
That makes this mom nervous :/

Fun Summer with LIFE !!

Cash is sitting up !  We can hardly wait to see them in a couple of weeks :)

Manda sent this picture, and I couldn't resist adding a red cap - he looks like he's flying, just like SUPERMAN !!

Tagg and Thatcher have been having a great time with friends down at the creek

Payson and Bright and Bexlee were able to go to Classic Waterslides with their Chaos friends.  Can you spot Payson?  He's just come off the slide !

My dad in the garden, checking out the squash and pumpkins.  I hope at 85, I can squat down like that................who am I kidding?  I can't do that now at 61 !!!

Happy 45th anniversary to US !!

Out of 40 plants, only 4 have survived.
We are spraying for bugs, so hopefully I can have some Sauer kraut this fall.

Also spraying thistle up Round Valley

We had a nice ride last weekend with Mom and Dad, Zac and CJ and Thatcher and Roger and I.

And we are caught up !!!

Blake Prescott's wedding - our old Snowmobile Gang
Brian & Jill Judd, Bret & Gaylene Kimbal, Vicki & Rodney Rose, Me & Rog
Back row:  Annette & Roger Prescott, Janene & Mark Walker, Cindy & Kevin Bangerter
(missing Clark and Wendy Waldron)

97 quarts of tomato juice !!!
We used 5 bushels of tomatoes

Happy 18th anniversary to these two !

Thatcher's first football game was RAINED/THUNDERED/LIGHTENINGED out

We came home to NO LIGHTS

Bexlee and Bright had a fun time with cousins and Grandma Carol at East Canyon

Cam and Josiah in AZ :)

This little girl is a HOOT

This is me and Rog in the Garden - haha

Thatcher finally got his first game, made up Monday night

We missed Pays' first game (while doing tomato juice) - but we'll catch his 2nd one tomorrow.
We just got done with a 3 hour game (Treyson's JV game) last night, and will have 3 tomorrow on Saturday.  It's the SEASON !!!!

The garden is winding down.  We picked all the peppers because there were so many on the plants that the branches were breaking.  There was about 20 pounds of peppers !!!!   All of the onions are dug and drying, and we gave away the last of the 40 cabbages.  The corn is about 2/3rds gone, and we pulled out the cucumbers so they would quit producing because we were sick of them !!  I'll pick tomatoes this morning, and will do spaghetti sauce today.  We are still waiting on the Roma tomatoes to ripen...........it may never happen !!

This was our tomato juicing set up this year.  It works so well !!!

Happy Anniversary

63 years ago Ben and Lu were married.  We sure miss him, and look forward to the day we will be with him again.   We love you LuAnn, Mom, Grandma Ben.  This day is bittersweet for you I'm sure, but know that we love you and are thinking of you.

Odds and Ends - August

Bexlee is in a BIG GIRL bed now..........and she's potty trained !!  So awesome for MOM and Dad.

This picture was taken a few weeks ago when Landon and Kacey and kids were camping up in the Uintas.  Grandma Ben was up there also with Joni and Kerry, and they met up to visit.

Janell fixed me up with this beautiful arrangement of flowers.  I had the old tool box, and bought the flowers at Joann's, and she put it all together for me.  Looks great in my utility room at our home.

Seems like they are always wrenching on some mowers.  Maintenance is a big thing.

Our corn is doing weird things this year......... Most of it is okay though, and it is COMING ON !!  We've had corn on the cob for the past few days, and it is SO SO GOOD.

Mom had her 83rd birthday a few days after dad's.  Erika and Aaron brought up this fun cake :)

Still floating........  It is cool, relaxing, and fun.

The culvert for irrigation water was leaking under Highway 66, so they sent a crew out to fix it.  They ended up replacing the entire box.

Our watering crew in the garden.  I'll have another post - totally garden related soon.

Makes me happy that Cam will take the time to appreciate the beauty of a sunset.

We got a new swing for the Property.  Here is mom trying it out.  She made herself dizzy though.

Cam got a job !  She texted us last night, and she will be starting today at the Sicilian Butcher in the Chandler Mall which is not too far from their home.  She will be a hostess/barista.  She's so happy this finally happened.  It's been a hard go down there with COVID and all for teenagers to get jobs.

They are still working on the new shed (in the shop)

Here's a big doggie (wow) - Thatcher loves to hang out with the dogs.

Waiting to pick up a floating crew down next to the creek.  Can you believe I got him to sort of smile?

This is how Bex puts on chapstick (yikes!!!)

Landon and Kacey and friends came up and floated the creek one night.  This is Payson and Steve - they were tube buddies.

There were four families -  8 adults, and 8 kids on 8 tubes.  Rog and I were the pickup crew.  It was quite a feat getting them off the creek (lots of laughs !!)

Our beautiful barn - a pic I took for work.

LOVE THIS QUOTE - I need to remember it over and over again.......

My new wall hanging.  Watch for future updates, I've got BIG plans.

Manda sent this in the mail  :)

These two celebrated SEVENTEEN years of marriage - WOW

Last but not least - we are DONE with goats.  Brooks and Dunn went to the Bagetta's (across the street from LuAnn).  Here is Josh, loving on them.
