At the Cemetery

It was a cold cold morning, when we took the poinsettias and little Christmas trees up to decorate the graves.
We took stakes, and hammers, and Roger D was the muscle.
I'm glad the sun was shining, but it sure was cold.
The little stuffed animals that the boys had put on the graves were still there.  We dusted the snow off, and put them back on display.  So cute.
Always a bittersweet time.  Wishing they were still with us.

"FROST" - Crossfit Tribute to Linda (passed one year ago today)

Crossfit Unknown - 1 year since we lost this beautiful lady. Her name is Linda Frost. She was born October 19, 1948 and died July 13, 2014 at the age of 66 from Lou Gehrig Disease. She was super close with my family and was always with us when we went on vacations. One of the best aunts you could ever have! From now on every July we will be doing a workout in her memory.
If you come to class or hit this somewhere else, please hit it hard and give it all you got. We love her and miss her!
"Frost"
7 rounds for time:
-13 hang power clean 135/95
-14 hspu
-6 hang squat snatch 135/95
-6 bar muscle up

5:30 am class - Manda, Me and Landon doing "Frost"
It was HARD !   I think Manda's time was 40 minutes, mine was 42:50, and Landon's was 49:54 (just beat the 50 minute mark)

I didn't think I would be able to finish, but like always, if you just keep plugging along, you eventually do !   I kept thinking, Linda did a hard thing............so can I.

Grandma Ben and Aunt Judy came for the 6:30 am class, and we took a group picture before we left.

Here's to you Linda !    We love you  and miss you !!

Fall Days......

Grandpa and Grandma "D" have harvested all of their pumpkins, and all of the grandkids were able to choose one or more.
They are working at getting the garden "put to bed" for fall/winter.  We finished cutting down the corn stalks yesterday.  I'd say 95% of them went to our animals for food, and we also bundled a few for decoration, and put the rest of the burn pile.
While we were at Costco on Monday, a random lady handed Cam a rose !
The baby goats, Paris and France are getting more and more tame.  We can hand feed them, we just have to keep Billy and Sam (and their mean ways) AWAY from them if we want to get close.
With Miss Piggy
Tuesday we went to Morgan Valley Crafts and painted up another Halloween decoration.  It was alot of fun !
While we were eating lunch at Deb's Spicy Pie (with CJ and Thatch), we got a text from Bruce, who let us know that Linda's headstone was in place.  We ran right up to the cemetery to check it out.  IT IS BEAUTIFUL !
We had a nice visit with Bruce and Brenda, and Grandpa and Grandma Ben.
Cam is a great baby-sitter :)
This girl is getting TALLER !  One of these days she's going to pass them up !
Our finished project !
Later, when we were putting the cornstalks on the burn pile.
Two peas in a pod
The Welch Ditch Dam has been removed, and the creek is really low.
We are getting ready to build a shed at the property. Hopefully we'll have some of it done before the snow comes,
We brought Thatch back to our house while the other crew went to the year end football party at the bowling alley.

To Honor Linda

Click here to listen to the song that was played at Linda's graveside service
Pall bearers were Darrin, Todd, Taylor, Nathan and David and Bryce
Keysto gave the Family prayer at the mortuary, and Kerry dedicated the grave.  They were both very beautiful prayers.

Casey, Layne, Ali, Taya and her friend, Susan, and I think Seth Dawson.

The little boys were sure good.  They were hungry and ready for food though.  When we were at the Mortuary before the graveside service, Treyson came up to me and asked, "So.....when are they presenting the food?"  Too funny !

Most of Lynette's family.  Heath's wife in pink, Brooke's son (bending over), Jason Lords, Randy's parents, ? Brooke , and Sommer sitting down.

Our Sister, Our Aunt, Our Friend

Linda Rich Frost
October 19, 1948 - July 13, 2014

November 2011 - Linda and Bruce graciously offered to drive Ben and LuAnn down to Arizona for Manda's wedding.  We so appreciated this unselfish act.

Linda R. Frost, 65 of Roy passed away July 13, 2014 with her loving family by her side after a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). On Oct. 6, 1966 Linda married the love of her life, Bruce E. Frost in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They spent 48 wonderful years together. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved going camping and riding in the razor with dad and 4-wheeler with everyone. Linda loved her family dearly. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Any time she spent with grandchildren was the most special time for her. Linda is survived by her parents: Delore and LuAnn Rich; her husband, Bruce; four children: Terri Frost, Brenda (Taylor) Lay; Darrin (Nicole) Frost; Todd (Nikki) Frost; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren with one on the way. Also surviving are two sisters: Joni and Kerry Porter; Lynette Hartman; and three brothers: Roger and Gwen Rich; Layne and Susan Rich; and Kelly and Michelle Rich. Special thanks to CNS Hospice nurses, Lea, Andrea, Deanna and Mary Lou. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 2:15 p.m. at the South Morgan Cemetery.
