Can you say GREAT Grandparents !?!?!?!

The last night I was in Arizona, Cam and Josiah made an announcement !!

We couldn't be more happy and excited for them :)   Congratulations Cam and Josiah !!  

 

Spokane Vacation

Cam and Josiah flew up to Spokane for a few days this past week.

Mary Grace, Josiah's sister has moved there, and is living with her grandparents.
Josiah was born and raised there until his parents moved to Arizona when he was in Elementary School.
They had a great few days visiting with family. 

 

Wedding Celebration

Surprise !  It was actually their 1st wedding anniversary (What?!?!)
They quickly and quietly married on 09/06/2023, before Josiah headed to basic training. 

They've been planning this big family wedding celebration for a year :) 

Our whole family, minus Tagg and Grandma and Grandpa D. were able to travel down to support them.  We rented a big Air BnB with a pool, and boy did we have a great time.

Josiah's in the Army now !

Cam is in South Carolina with Josiah's family this week, celebrating the graduation of Josiah.  We've not experienced the military in our immediate family first hand.  My Uncle Blaine was in the Marines, and Uncle Don and Grandpa Ben served in WWII, but personally we haven't been involved as such.  

Josiah left at the very end of October for basic training, was able to come home for two weeks over Christmas, and has now graduated this morning (Feb 1, 2024).  I just happened to click into Facebook at 7 am our time (9 am South Carolina time), and caught the graduation ceremony LIVE.  We are so proud of him.  I snapped a few pics, and Cam send a few pics from yesterday (family day) and today (graduation).  Tomorrow he heads North to Fort Lee in Virginia, where he will be trained further in specialized mechanic work.  He will be there until mid-May, then home to Arizona where he will serve in the Army Reserves.  Josiah and Cam will have a big wedding celebration in September !
