Forever.........

"If you want something to last forever, you treat it differently. You shield it and protect it. You never abuse it. You don't expose it to the elements. You don't make it common or ordinary. If it ever becomes tarnished, you lovingly polish it until it gleams like new. It becomes special because you have made it so, and it grows more beautiful and precious as time goes by." ~Elder F. Burton Howard

Our Life Lately

A wonderful evening was spent at the Ogden Temple on Friday evening, where Kacey received her endowment.
I don't know if I've seen bigger smiles on these two.

We are so happy for them, as they begin their new live together.
There will be happy times, there will be hard times.... that's life, right?

This has got to be one of my favorite pictures.
My Dad and my sister Erika (Kuk) - I love them both so much.

Kaley (Kacey's twin) and Keysto (her husband, and Landon's 1st cousin)
Brittany (Kacey's sister) and her husband, Blake.
We all went to Chuck-a-Rama after the temple and had a late dinner.

Saturday Morning - Fun Times :)
We, along with THOUSANDS :) of other Morgan residents went to
FREE DUMP DAY at the City Dump. It was busy, busy, busy !

Back at our house for a minute, and Treyson
had to try out the swing for the first time this season.

Time to "Crack the Egg" on the trampoline.

Hang on boys - Grandma's on the tramp !

Then it's down to the property to cut down tree limbs encroaching on the field.

Treyson tried to be like his Daddy, and climbed a few trees.

In the beautiful warm weather, we lay down and basked
in the sun. The boys love their back tickled.
I could have stayed there and taken a nap.

Tilling our garden spot, Treyson gives Grandpa Roger a hand.

Belated Shower

I don't think I mentioned it, but we had a bridal shower at my home for Kacey last Saturday. It was alot of stress for me, but it turned out fine. I had alot of help from Mom and LuAnn and CJ. I especially wanted to show this cake creation that CJ made. A replica of Kacey's wedding dress! She stressed and struggled, and by the end she probably wished she hadn't attempted it, but I think it turned out GREAT ! Thanks CJ, you're the best :)

Richard Paul Evans

Ever read one of his books? Christmas Box, The Sunflower, Grace.........and many more (but those are the ones I've read). I think I'll read me some MORE !!

Last week I had the opportunity to attend some meetings sponsored by UAC. Mr. Evans was the keynote speaker on Day 2. I must admit, I thought it would be alot of FLUFF. Boy was I wrong.

Can I just say - MOST AMAZING TALK EVER! (Outside of General Conference :)

Here is a recap:

1. There is a reason you are here on this earth. You are not a mistake of God or nature.

2. You will never get to where you are going if you hold onto the rungs of your past. You need to learn to forgive.

3. Go somewhere. Do something with your life. Take risks. Failure is a necessary part of the process. It is much easier to complain that life is unfair. You can be a victim of circumstance, or you can be a master of your own fate, but you can't be both.

4. Life - it's going to hurt, and you are going to hit bumps along the way. We succeed because of our challenges. Grapes can't be grown in good soil. Endure it well.

5. LOVE - it's the only acid test of success. Love is a choice. The meaning of life is love. We love those whom we serve.

Afterward, Mr. Evans (though suffering with a bad cold), stayed around to sign his latest book THE WALK, which he had for sale. He was a genuine nice person. I came home, read the book, and LOVED IT! It is a SERIES !! and I can hardly wait for the next one to come out. AWESOME - go get you one, it is definitely worth your money.

The Property is Awakening

Zac started cleaning up trees along the creek bank (south end) last night. The sun was setting, and I took some great pics of the boys by the creek with Grandpa Roger. We talked of building a bigger sandpile for little boys, i.e. TAGG, to keep him out of the creek. It may be a losing battle this year :)

Did you feel the EARTHQUAKE yesterday?

Check it out here and here.

Roger and Landon were sitting at home, and Landon immediately said, "Do you feel that?", and Roger said.........."HUH?". Landon said, "THAT is an Earthquake!"

My Peruvian Missionary Earthquake Expert knew what it was right off the bat.

Me? I was sitting in my car on the upper level of the parking structure at the Ogden Temple reading. I could feel the movement, but I just thought it was cars driving on the suspended slab. Little did I know :) I'm about as clueless as Roger.

Did you feel it? Where were you? Leave a comment :)
