Today at conference, it was announced that this great man,
Craig G. Fisher, was called as an Area Seventy. We love him and his sweet wife Julia !
He was our Bishop for many years (2002-2006), and one of the main reasons Landon and I are where we are today. He and Landon were home teaching companions, and just the other night, they went again to visit "their" widows. I would guess they will be doing this for years to come.
Bishop Fisher would always take Landon with him to General Priesthood meetings throughout his teenage years, and treated him as a son, for which I am forever grateful.
In July of 2006, he was called as a mission president, along with Julia as the mission MOM, to Billings Montana for three years. We had to get used to calling him President, instead of Bishop ! We were blessed to be able to attend a zone conference in Helena, just before Landon's mission.
In the picture next to him, is his sweet daughter Jillie, whom I visit taught for a little while, and got to be good friends with. She now lives across the street from Zac and CJ.
I'm so glad she's back in Utah.
Congratulations Fishers ! You will carry out your new duties,
just as you have all of the others, with HONOR !!
