Last Day, it's been great.

Oh the sights you see at Pikes Market
(We did a little more walking around down here this morning, just to kill some time)
Beautiful buildings, downtown Seattle.

Sad sights, also..........
Catching the light rail back to Sea Tac
It has been such a joy traveling with Camryn.  There were only a few tense moments, and 99.9% fun !
Oh look!  We get to fly on Minnie Mouse for home !
And an UP CLOSE view of Mt. Ranier

I hope you'll take some time to check out the videos below - we sure had a fun time !!

Day 3 - Hikes Galore

First thing we did Wednesday morning, was drive out to La Push Beach - LaPush Baby !
It was pretty much deserted, and looked nothing like the movie...............because it wasn't filmed there !!
We decided to get a little adventurous.............This was a decal on a car we saw at a trail head that we stopped at on our way back towards FORKS from LaPush.   I had gotten out of the car, to check out just where the trail started, snapped this photo above, and then cam back to Cam and showed her, saying I had just purchased this permit, and we were going to look for BIG FOOT in the forest !  Haha, she was not amused....... She really didn't want to hike, but was a good sport and humored her Grandma.
Beautiful path through the forest.
Happy girl
Our path eventually wound its way down to SECOND (or was it THIRD) Beach.
It appeared that you could only access this beach by the trail, because each end had sheer rock outcroppings.
I really don't know for sure which beach we hiked to............... I think 2nd beach...........maybe......
Back to the mini house for a QUICK break, then  right back in the car............
We saw this at a little mini-mart, and HAD to grab a picture :)
We wound our way North for about 1 1/2 hours past Neah Bay, to Cape Flattery, which is the western most point of the continental United States.  Here we hiked again, but it was quite different, with much of the trail improved with boardwalks, bridges, etc.  I REALLY had to get this girl talked into THIS hike.
The view did NOT disappoint.....
And let me tell you - HANGRY is a REAL THING !!  She was MUCH happier after having lunch :)
Apparently this POINT we were standing on, was atop a bunch of caves which were being eroded by the crashing waves.  That was a comforting thought - YIKES !
Come on Grandma  - time to head for home (FORKS)

Day 2 - Headed to Forks

Tuesday morning before we headed to Forks, we took the monorail BACK over to the Seattle Center.  Cam was feeling MUCH better today, and we took a few pics, and scoped out "Conner".  I will just say, Cam is a BIG talker.....and not so much on the action (wink wink).
We went on the Ride the DUCKS tour, and it was so much fun !  Part bus, Part boat, and we traveled around Downtown Seattle for a VERY interesting tour.

We sat right up front, and our tour guide was a HOOT.
Oh the sights we saw, and the fun things we learned.
If you want to see a SIGHT - just go see the Fre "Monsters" during the Summer Solstice.  Apparently we just missed it by a few days..........thank goodness.
Our DUCKS boat entered Lake Union, and we saw Gas Works Park, the Sleepless in Seattle House.......
.....another view of Seattle...........
Then I bravely rented a care (all by myself) and drove in downtown Seattle (all by myself..........with a excellent guide) and got on the FERRY without incident (Thank goodness).
The Ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge takes about 35 minutes.  It moves along at a brisk pace........
....and is quite windy in spots (haha)
The 3 1/2 hour drive to Forks was BEAUTIFUL, and again we were blessed with a beautiful beautiful day.  There was just one small delay due to road construction, but we were right next to Crescent Lake, and it was totally a non-issue.
Just as we were coming into town, we had to STOP and take a picture !!!! Yeah!!!!
Now to find Edward and Jacob (haha) - actually Forks is a nice small town, but a disappointment, in that the Twilight Book Series in SET in Forks, but NONE of the movie filming was DONE in Forks.   So you can't see the house from the movie, the high school, the cafe, etc.
We traveled half way between Forks and La Push Beach to our Air B n B.  This is the view out our front door..........
This is the inside........... with Cam relaxing
Pretty cute, huh?
And this was the OUTSIDE -  A TINY HOUSE !!!
So cute and fun.  Something new, and MUCH better than an old motel.

Our 2nd day is done - think we'll put on a movie..........
Twilight anyone??
