Remembering those we love

Our Baby Girl
(Sitting in the chair with her Pavlic Harness on at Grandma Tonks' home)
Picture taken in November 1978, about a month before she died.
Just look at those beautiful dark eyes !
Tagg takes after her in looks I think.

Grandpa and Grandma Dickson
This was such a familiar sight.  They were always together, and grandpa always had a dog (notice the tail in the picture?) - I think that's Corky.  Oh, how I miss visiting with them.  They both died in 1995, 11 days apart.

Grandpa and Grandma Tonks - I've always loved this picture.  I think it was taken in the mid-80's.  Grandpa died in 1991, and Grandma in 2002.  She used to say, "I wonder if he forgot about me down here?"
I'm glad they are together again.

If I could have anyone back, it would be her.
Every time we are at the property as a family, with kids running around, I think of her, and who she would have married, and the kids she would have had, and what her life would have been like.
I sure wish she was here with us.

More on the Ogden Marathon

Click here for more pics to view of  Zac in the race.
Zac placed 169th, and there were approximately 2300 1/2 Marathon runners.  Not too shabby !  He will run his first marathon on June 11th, in Provo.

Yes - his bib does say "Gary" - he ran for a guy who couldn't compete.

This and That......

Cam is losing her baby teeth:)
She spoke with a cute little lisp when she said some words :)

Tagg had an accident at our house last week, so I popped him in the tub, and then put him in Grandpa Roger's favorite "Red Birds" shirt afterwards.  It was great until he decided to pick his nose and wipe it on the shirt LOL.  Too funny !

We stopped by the Bakery last week to visit.
The boys LOVE the hairnets and twinkies :)

Treyson loves the computer.  His favorite game is Plants vs. Zombies.  The other day I was working out in the kitchen and he let out a blood curdling scream.  It scared me to death.   I thought he had somehow pulled the book case over on him, or stuck his finger in an outlet.............I am Grandma Dickson (the worrier) to a T.  Actually, the Zombie had just made it past all of the plants, and to the Treyson's house.......
It took awhile for my heart to quiet down.

One thing about all this wet weather, is the TULIPS around town sure look great ! My little flower garden out front will be beautiful this year.

Zac ran the 1/2 Ogden Marathon last Saturday.  It was a last minute decision.  He did really well, and Roger was able to leave work and see him finish the race with CJ and the boys.  Zac said it was a little bit intimidating, with all of the people lining the street at the end cheering.

Landon and Kacey have had a couple of "Tornado Warnings" in Dublin Ohio this past week.  All we can do is keep our fingers crossed and keep praying that they will not have the same experience that the people in Joplin, Missouri had.   Give me good old Utah, I'll take an earthquake over a tornado any day, especially since we don't have to worry about tsunami's.

More flooding pictures

When we got home from Arizona, Rog decided to get more sandbags.
It was a BIG JOB, and we wouldn't have been able to do it without Zac and CJ.

Zac's a two bagger man - doesn't he look stylin' ?

It was NO FUN packing them through the muddy standing water, with the mud sucking at your boots, carrying the HEAVY HEAVY sandbags.  Of course, I'm just speaking as an observer :)
I stayed in the back of the truck and helped to load the sandbags on their shoulders.

The water is really high and swift

Treyson kept me entertained with stories and songs.  He never stopped talking :)

At the end, I took these super cute pictures of
THE RICH FAMILY
