Mission accomplished !

This morning Zac spoke in the Priesthood Leadership Meeting of Stake Conference.
It was a pretty nerve wracking experience for him, but it went very well !

Thanks for all of the prayers in his behalf.  I know that I was on my knees, and I know Heavenly Father answers prayers, of that there is no doubt.
LOVE YOU ZAC.

Tiana - in Living Legends

Tagg and Treyson in front of the Conference Center Theater (which is attached to the Conference Center).  We picked them up a little early from school to beat the busses, and headed to SLC with CJ driving, me riding shotgun, Grandma Ben and Grandma D holding down the middle seats, and Tagg and Treyson in the rear (heads buried in their Ipads of course).

We walked through the sprinkling rain over through Temple Square, and down into the City Creek food court for dinner.  Sbarros and Chick-filet filled us up, then it was back to Temple Sqaure to look around until it was SHOWTIME.

Quite a bit of excitement for a couple of Morgan Boys - hah

Not sure if these two had ever been up to see the Christus.  Lots of questions, and peaceful setting.
Thanks Grandma Ben for taking the pic.
We had very good seating, and were seated pretty early, excited for the show to start.

Here is a short video of the Living Legends Tour when they went to New Zealand last year.  If I'm not mistaken, that's Tiana, in the orange and blue.  This is the Jingle Dance, each dress has tons of jingle (type) bells.

After the performance, the dancers come out into the foyer to mingle with the audience.  Tiana looked so beautiful in her costuming.  Treyson and Tagg (and all of us), LOVED LOVED LOVED the performance.
This tall guy was one of the hoop dancers, pretty awesome.  Click here to see a short video of the Hoop Dance, can you spot him?  He's the tallest one :)
With the EAGLE - a major part of the production.
And last but not least, a Moana lookalike - couldn't pass this pic up !

Thanks so much Tiana !
We loved being with you and your family, and seeing you perform.

February Happenings so far

Well, we are more than half way through the month, so I thought I'd do a little recap.
Tagg got his Wolf badge at the blue and gold banquet
Yeah Tagg !
I think this was a Saturday?  I was watching the kids, mending Landon's pants, and Payson was fascinated with the sewing machine.  He loves to learn.
Here I am in the hospital.  I'm feeling alot better now.  Hopefully when I go back to the doc on the 24th, I can find out if I need more stents, or just what.  So glad I'm feeling better.
The Baptism of course
Wonderful !
Zac put the front end loader on the tractor, and drove it over and moved the big piles of snow.  Looking back, he probably didn't need to do it, because we didn't get any more snow to speak of, and it warmed up, and the snow is almost gone !
Thank you Zac :)
Treyson is finishing up Junior Jazz
I think he has one more game this Saturday.
He's enjoyed it.
One of Tagg's birthday presents was this awesome Dinosaur on the wall.  How cool is that?
Combined birthday party for the two birthday boys
Blowing out the candles
What a kid !
These two !!
The basketball game was moved into Tagg's room - looks like he's having fun here with Grandpa Jim.
This guy surprised me with a dozen roses on V-day.
LOVE HIM !!
And last but not least, WHAT a beautiful sunset there was last night, just as I was leaving work.  Life is good !

Happy Birthday to Tagg ! - and a Recap of Tagg's Teeth and Wrist - Where he is now

Happy 9th Birthday to Tagg today !

Here is a link to his book

Wow, where have those 9 years gone, huh?  Tagg is lovable, smart, inquisitive, sometimes ornery :), a loving brother (most of the time).  We sure love him, and are so glad he is part of our family.

As you all know, he was in a pretty bad accident on December 14th.  He fell off a tall retaining wall on to some cement while at scouts.  He was wearing snowshoes, and throwing snowballs at the time.  The fall really did a number on his teeth and left wrist.  The fact that he had no head injury is pretty amazing, miraculous in fact.  I believe he had a little angel in heaven watching over him.

“It is generally believed that angels who come on earth for any purpose whatsoever are beings who have lived on it. This is confirmed by the Prophet Joseph Smith, who said, ‘There are no angels who minister to this earth but those who do belong or have belonged to it.’

President Joseph F. Smith suggested that it is possible that our departed loved ones may be sent to help us who yet live on earth. “Our fathers and mothers, brothers, sisters and friends who have passed away from this earth, having been faithful, and worthy to enjoy these rights and privileges, may have a mission given them to visit their friends and relatives upon the earth again, bringing from the divine presence messages of love, of warning, of reproof or instruction, to those whom they had learned to love in the flesh.” (Gospel Doctrine, Joseph F Smith p. 435, 436)

I really do believe that Tagg was miraculously protected in his fall.  The height of the fall was 10-12 feet headfirst, and even with the extensive damage to his teeth, there was not a mark on his face or head otherwise. How blessed our family is, even in this bad accident.

This is how he looked on December 14th

Here he is the next day after visiting the oral surgeon and dentist

Some time in January
His two front teeth have had root canals, and have been built back up where they had broken off.

And finally, braces on (end of January)
Our hope now, is that the two front teeth remain viable, and stay in his jaw.
December 14th- Wrist, badly broken
December 19th - Pin put in place during surgery
1st cast
2nd cast - a couple of weeks later
Third cast a week or so later..........which only lasted a day, because...........
After being caught (with the 2nd cast) - of scratching his itchy arm with the lead end of the pencil.............(when they took the cast off, there were pencil marks up and down his arm), he decided he would be sneaky, and itch with the OTHER END of the pencil........and it came off under the cast !
A new one was put on a day later
Gruesome !
The pin was removed in the doctor's office right before they put the 5th cast on

5th cast on - the last one !
It was removed on February 3rd, one day before................
Baptism on February 4th
(notice the little bandaid where the pin was)

So GLAD this ordeal is over!!

Happy Birthday Tagg - We love you !!
