Thanks to Carol and girls for the pics - I stole them from Facebook :)

Freese?!?

It appears an explanation is in order:

The St. Louis Cardinals or the "redbirds" as they are affectionately known around our house, have been Roger and Landon's team FOREVER.

They won the World Series this past October, thanks in no small part, to David Freese.

David Richard Freese (born April 28, 1983) is a third baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). For the Cardinals, Freese batted .545 with 12 hits in the 2011 National League Championship Series (NLCS) and set a MLB postseason record for RBIs in the 2011 World Series, earning the NLCS MVP Award, World Series MVP Award, and the Babe Ruth Award, naming him the MVP of the MLB postseason.

In Game 6 of the World Series, with Texas leading, 3 games to 2, Freese came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, with two out and two men on base. With a count of one ball and two strikes, Freese hit a two-run triple to tie the game and send it to extra innings. In the 11th inning, again with two strikes, Freese hit a game-winning lead-off, "walk-off", solo home-run to deep center field (420 feet), to send the World Series to its first Game 7 since 2002.[22][23] Freese joined Jim Edmonds, the man he was traded for, as the only players in Cardinals history to hit an extra-inning walk-off home run in the postseason.

In Game 7 of the World Series, Freese hit a two-run double in the bottom of the first inning, bringing his 2011 postseason RBI total to 21, an MLB record.[24][25] The Cardinals went on to win the game and the series,[26] making Freese a World Series champion for the first time. For his efforts, Freese was named the World Series MVP.[27] He became the sixth player to win the LCS and World Series MVP awards in the same year.[28] Freese also won the Babe Ruth Award as the postseason MVP.[29]

So, there you have it !! Payson Freese Rich :)

Welcome, Payson Freese Rich

Little Payson was born this morning, February 28th at 8:53 am. He weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long.

He's a cutie, with a DIMPLE ! in his chin. Everyone says he looks like Tagg (Zac and CJ's boy)

We're having a baby today !!

Landon is so excited !

Kacey is patiently waiting, just wishing it would hurry up and be over :)

PS - Landon is NOT dressed like this today, this was the other day at work. He was showing them the finer points of being a nerd :)

Boy what a Friday !

Treyson unloading his back pack at Kindergarten

It looks like Mrs. Carpenter is getting mad at him - but she isn't, I promise :)

I was glad to see the netting over the kid's playground at the Rec-plex.  No need to worry about getting bonked on the head with foul balls anymore !

Sometimes  I really love the pics I take :)

Collecting the eggs from the chicken coop at Grandma's

Doesn't feel like February today !

On to the playground at Riverside Park
Stopping in at the Dollar Store - we saw Stacy there !  "Hi Stacy !"

Up to the cemetery  - Tagg had a lot of questions about the "dead people" - he had fun cleaning up decorations, looking at the pictures on the headstones, "Grandma, this guy must really like deer!".

It was a gorgeous day !

Blowing Bubbles

And catching them :)

Middle Child

Grandpa Roger's first holding of his namesake.  Tagg, "the middle child now" taking a break from being "challenging" and pointing out a few things about T.R. (Thatcher Roger).

Sleeping away - CJ thinks he has his nights and days mixed up :(

Tagg, explaining the finer points of how to "milk" a baby :)

Big Brother

Treyson loves to hold his little brother - I was hoping to get all three boys in the picture, but Tagg would have nothing of it.  He was headed out to play in the sand.

Home safe and sound

Just makes your heart melt :)

Checking out all of the "parts" - can hardly wait for a diaper change and bath time :)  He wants to see TOES !

Can't get enough of this little one :)

Hopefully they will let him come home today with CJ

Proud mom and dad :)

Last night he seemed much more interested in looking around at everyone, than eating..........which he NEEDS to do in order to get his IV out (poor little hand).  Also, he "reportedly"? gave Grandpa Roger a BIG SMILE (which Roger D. & CJ INSIST was NOT gas)..............I guess because he knows FOR SURE, that ROGER will be his middle name.  Roger is already calling him T.R.

More pictures of Thatcher :)

After struggling to breathe for so long, he was getting tired so they ended up intubating him last night

By this afternoon, they were able to remove it.  He is SO SWEET !  He may have to stay in the NICU for 5-7 days for precautionary measures :(

Proud Grandparents - Roger D., Gwen and Shirlee

He sure likes that binky !!

Peek - boo, from the Nick - U (NICU)

First Picture

Landon and CJ's Uncle Boyd gave Thatcher a blessing this morning.  He is doing better, eyes open and Zac and CJ are encouraged.  This is the first picture I've seen of the little one.  It was taken before he was intubated.  He is struggling to breathe :( Hoping to get down there at noon today and see him up close.  Brothers are doing well here at home and are excited to see their new baby "brudder".

Welcome Baby Thatcher !

He is reported to look just like his big brothers !

Thatcher was born last night at 11 pm. He weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz, and is 20 inches long. He swallowed quite a bit of amniotic fluid during his Cesarean birth, and they have put him in NICU as a precautionary measure. Hopefully he will only be in there for 24 hours.

Remembering 10 years ago

Manda at the Gateway, during February 2002

Remembering the Olympics

Me, with an actual Olympic torch - I think it was Deb Kinsey's dad's.  He got to run with one, in part because he was in the Olympics years ago.  Man, I have aged !

Mom and Dad in front of the Conference Center in SLC.  We saw "Light of the World" - it remains one of the most wonderful "shows" I have ever had the privilege to see.

At the Olympic village with Dad and Mom and I think? one of the Olympic mascots??

Postcards in the mail :)

I just loved these books as a girl.  Cam's Grandpa Jeff gave her a huge Nancy Drew detective book for Christmas.  She has loved all of the fun stories, and games, (and apparently postcards?) in it.  We got these as a surprise in the mail on Friday.

I hope you take the time to read the caption.  She sent us each a card, with the EXACT same message on the back:
I love you !! Your the Best !!! I got new postcards, you got one.  Tell yourself  "I LOVE YOU!!!"  I love you. I'm telling Myself  "I'll be there soon"!  I LOVE YOU !!!!   We will be so excited to see her next month during Spring Break :) Yahoo !!

Tiana, my niece is a member of the Living Legends at BYU. My parents and I were able to meet her family down there last night and see the performance. It was spectacular !

In this short video clip, you can see part of what we saw last night. Tiana is at 1:57 in pink :) and  in the screen shot you see above, she is the girl on the far left.
