I am thankful the snow is finally melting. I am sick of winter. It's funny though. Even through all of this snow, our driveway has been great when pushed. But NOT NOW - it is a frozen mess of slush, with a BIG HOLE that Landon's little car just about doesn't make it through.

I am thankful for friends. I went and bought some meat at the butcher shop tonight, and R.J. Spencer can ALWAYS put a smile on my face. He is a good friend.

I am thankful that Zac cleaned mom and dad's driveway off with the snow blower - YAHOO !!! We have been slacking on that one, with them gone and all, and they are coming home next Tuesday, and I was dreading having to shovel it all off.

I am thankful I made it to Salt Lake City, and back in one piece today. I am still nervous on the roads, and am always thankful to be home - safe and sound. Thanks for driving Steph !!!

I am thankful I can go to "Daughter's of Faith" retreat tomorrow and Saturday. We leave at 7am in the morning, and won't return until 10pm Saturday night. I am looking forward to it, and am thankful they wanted ME to take photos to document the event. We are going up to Cache Valley, to a lodge in the mountains. There should be about 60 (16-17 year old girls) and 20 leaders. Wish me luck !!

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

The kids and grandkids came up today for spaghetti dinner. I love it when they all come and hang out. It doesn't happen often enough.

What's up with us

I was writing a note to my friend Amy in Spokane, and I thought I would post part of it here. Then you'll all know what's up with the Rich's.

We are all fine down here in Morgan, Utah. Roger felt the earthquake on Thursday morning (the one in Wells NV) - he was on the upper floor of the office at the bakery. No one felt anything in Morgan that I heard.

Our latest addiction - American Idol. We have never watched it before, and this is the 7th season I think, and we finally tuned in, and we are hooked.

Work is going okay for both of us. Mine is getting really really busy - I've got deadlines looming, and I suppose it will all get done.

Zac and CJ's baby is doing well. He's nursing well, and that is 90% of the battle as far as I'm concerned.......that and sleeping. I guess he went for a 5-6 hour stretch the other night. Treyson seems to be adjusting okay. He's quite a rough house kid. It's because he wrestles with Zac all of the time, and he's always pushing and slugging, and such. He's a character.

Manda's work is going okay. Cam is cute as ever. She is getting so smart. The other day she asked me if I knew that my blood was BLUE inside of me? She also told Roger that chocolate isn't good for you unless you eat good food first.

I suppose you are keeping up with Landon on his blog. I'm trying to take his weekly letter, and break it up and do a post a day. Do you like it that way? I just know that when I look at blogs, I like to see something new each day.

Do you look at many blogs?
Here are some of my favorites, check them out

Confessions of a Pioneer Woman I can't figure out if she is a true cowgirl, or just a wanna be. She takes some great pics though.

Because I said so A women with 6 kids....... (not a Mormon if you can believe it :).....She is pretty funny, and even though we are out of that "stage" of life,it's entertaining

Arctic Glass This girl is originally from Utah (I think) - and now lives in Alaska, and is a journalist. She sure has a way with words. She is a biker, and is crazy if you ask me.

Shark Bait Always something new and fun.

Well, as you can tell, I spend entirely too much time in front of my computer, but one good thing.........my TV time has decreased :) We are going to get a TIVO - or something like that, so I can record WHAT I want, and watch it WHEN I want it,without commercials.

The women I work with are wonderful. Smart, funny, interesting, compassionate, kind, understanding.... I could go on and on. I like to go to work. We are all different, and yet we get along (five of us) really really well.

My husband supports me in all of my "doings". I really appreciate that.

My missionary is in a warm (HOT) place. One thing I don't have to worry about is him walking around in a blizzard. I don't know why, but that makes me feel better.

Grandkids......need I say more? What is that quote? "If I knew how much fun grandkids were.....I would have had them first"

Miscellaneous Moments

Gwen didn't have to work on Monday, so she watched Camryn and Treyson. They are sure a handful. 75% of the time is helping them learn to play nicely with each other. It was funny - a couple of months ago, we weighed both of them on the scales, and they were each, exactly 31 pounds. (Treyson is 17 months younger than Camryn). When they were weighed yesterday, Camryn was 32 pounds, and Treyson was 34 pounds !

Deer Everywhere !

A few days ago, we had 7 deer come down the road across from our home. They would have come right across our snow covered lawn if a car hadn't come along and scared them. All of the deer, elk, and moose are down in amongst the homes and barns looking for some food. This snow has really caused some problems for them. The Fish & Game are feeding them in some areas.

Treyson's new room is finished.

Tow - mater

Camryn's checking out the closet

There are hiding places, and a dresser that looks like a tool box.

Treyson's new room is great !

Our Grandchildren

Camryn (almost 4), Treyson (2 1/2) & Tagg (4 days)
Our grandchildren accept us for ourselves, without rebuke or effort to change us, as no one in our entire lives has ever done, not our parents, siblings, spouses, friends - and hardly ever our own grown children. ~Ruth Goode

Updates

Zac brought CJ and the new baby home from the hospital last night. I wonder how the night went? Treyson might have spent another night at Grandma Shirlee's. Hope the night went well. Oh- and by the way.........It's back to Tagg....... Tagg Zachary Rich. It's a done deal :)

New Baby Brudder - New Name.....

He may look like his older brother Treyson, but he just doesn't look like a "Tagg" - so, Welcome little Wyatt Zachary Rich. We love you !

Can't get enough of the WHITE STUFF !!

Beautiful Day on Monday the 4th.

Our Own Hannah Montana

Camryn LOVES to perform. She has her own little staging area at our house, and we put on the music, and she dances and sings (after introductions of course :)

Digging out

First we had John Wilkinson come over with his backhoe to dig us a trail to the car, then Zac went to work

I knew there was a car in there somewhere !

Thanks to Zachary we were able to get Landon's car dug out of the snowbank. The insurance totaled the Saturn, so I'm going to drive this little beater around for awhile. It will be a BIG sacrafice, believe me :)

Then after all that..... He even scrapped off the 6-8 inches of new snow that was "dumped" in the driveway this morning. Thanks Zac !

Later that night, they had to take Treyson down to the doctor. It ended up that he had an abrasion on his cornea. Not a big deal, it will heal itself. They just wanted to make sure that something was not still lodged in his eye. It was sure hurting him really bad. I guess he was just running around his new room, and fell face first on the floor.......he didn't get his eye closed quick enough, and the carpet must have scraped. it.

What's UP?

Roger - Work as usual, but a real pain because with all of the snow, the roads are closed throughout Wyoming and Idaho, and he's got drivers stranded all over the place, and product stacking up, etc.
Gwen- Home from work, sick with with some bronchial stuff.
Update on car - it was totaled. Gwen will be driving Landon's beater which we had to have dug out of the snowbank in the barnyard. Thanks John !
Manda - Work as usual, Cam to DeeDee's......... I hate her driving down the canyon on these roads. More snow this morning, and the roads are covered.
Zac - Work, and plowing snow at the shop where Grandpa Dickson got stuck yesterday. Will this never end???
CJ & Treyson - One week from today we should have a new baby boy !! Yahoo. She will need to stay home with the two little boys for the rest of the winter. RSV is rampant around here. They are trying to get Treyson to sleep in his new room........ this will be a challenge.
Landon - Sounded good as usual in his latest email. Can hardly wait till Monday, so he can update us on his new area, companion, and apartment.
