Fun in the Sun

Bright had a tumbling competition in St. George, so off she went with her mom and sister and Grandma Carol and cousins.  They had a good time, even though Bex looks unhappy here :)

Friday in St. George - Baseball !

We left at 9:30 am, Friday morning, caught two of Payson's baseball games (Landon is coach), and left for home at 9:30 pm, Friday night.  It was a quick trip, and not as warm as we would have liked, but it was fun to hang out with the  kids.  Life is good.

Bright found an "asteroid"

Sure love our family.

Odds and Ends

Anasazi Grill in St. George - serves up the meat on a HOT ROCK, which you them proceed to cook yourself, right at the dinner table.  It was a neat experience.  I'd like to stop there with Roger sometime.
Greenhouse all set up, and tomatoes planted !
The kids LOVE to get the flashlights and look for monsters in the dark basement. Tagg is down there, trying to scare them.  Grandpa isn't helping, as he is scaring and egging them on from upstairs.
Brightyn still runs to him for protection though !!
Trip to Ogden with the Grands
They are a HOOT - see video at the end of this post.
Helping Landon and Kacey with their yard.
Here they are all hard at work.........
While I'm just taking pics (haha)
And these 3 kiddos were in the basement, being super heroes........AND making a TOTAL MESS !!
Back at the Rich Ranch - Tagg and Roger helping Zac.
Makes me nervous !

St. George Marathon Recapped

On Friday, September 30th, we travelled down to St. George.  Roger, Zac and Thatcher in one car, and myself, and Grandpa and Grandma "D" in the other.  After the marathon on Saturday, Zac and Thatcher would return with Grandpa and Grandma to Morgan, and Roger and I would continue on to San Diego to rendezvous with Manda and family for a vacation.

This picture was taken the night before the marathon at Texas Road House, near our hotel in Washington City.  Early the next morning at 3am, I took Zac over to catch the bus, which would then take him to the start of the Marathon, in the little town of Central, 26.2 miles north of St. George.
He started the race at 6:50 am, and we made our way over to the finish line at about 9:30 am, where we proceeded to "Wait for Dad".   Joni and Mary Jo were in St. George, and they came over to cheer him on also.
We spot him !!
Go Dad !!  Good Job !!
Here he comes !!  He ran a great race.
After he passed, we waited in the shade for a little bit, then here he came !
Thank goodness he came back to us, and we didn't have to fight the crowds near the finish line.  He brought Thatcher a creamy popscicle goodie, and then we gathered up and returned to our car which was parked in the St. George temple parking lot.  We then parted ways, one car headed North to Morgan, and one headed South to San Diego.

Bunch of Fun - Bunch of Pics !

Roger and I and Grandma Ben traveled to Mesquite and St. George to watch Landon play some softball, and hangout with Kacey and the kids, and Carol.  We had a great time.   Here we are in the local Firehouse Sub joint.  I got a kick out of this picture on the wall.  See the two girls, hanging on, and "flying" on the Fire Engine?   Strange - mixing safe with unsafe?  Weird. Cute. Funny.   The subs were delicious !
We drove down Thursday afternoon, staying in Mesquite (so Roger could get his "fix"), and then came back up to St. George on Friday afternoon.  We drove around and saw the sights,  Went on roads we had never been on before.  Utah Hill, Gunlock Reservoir, Veyo, start of the St. George Marathon, Snow Canyon, Tuachan, Hurricane (to deliver Vern Wiggill's dutch oven), St. George Airport (close to it), Bloomington, and back around to Don Pedro (Mexican restaurant) on Dixie Drive.  Later that night, Landon had two games.  It was a beautiful night.
Such a beautiful complex - Google "The Canyons Complex"  WOW !
It was not too cold - and Payson had a great time running around.
Brightyn with her gear.
Here is Payson with Jared Venz' son, they are around the same age.  They threw the ball around.   Here Payson said to him, "Guess what?!?  I don't live in a house anymore - I. LIVE. IN.A.HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   He was sure excited to BE ON VACATION !!!!!!!!!
Teeth............ :)
HI Dad!
Headed back to the games the next day (Saturday)
Yeah - Ducks !!
And a TUNNEL!!!!!!
Hangin' with Pa
Playin' on the IPAD
Every time he would win a game, he had to tell Grandma Ben.
It was a little overcast in the morning - but not too cold.
Brightyn with Jake Rees' little girl.
Lunch Break at Wendy's
This girl love KETCHUP!
Back to the ball park, and Payson and I took a walk around a fishing pond.  He saw this lady catch a fish, and had a million questions for her.  He is sure a friendly little guy.
LOVE HER !
It was such a great WARM WARM BEAUTIFUL couple of days.  We came home about 2:30 pm on Saturday afternoon (home by 7:30 pm).  We were able to see 5 of the 7 games that the team played.

The team was Pace's Resturant team.  Jake Rees asked Landon to play.  Some other from Morgan that played were, Jared Venz, Jake Rees, Tyler Toone, Bryant Hemingway.  Usually Mitch Clark plays also.  Not sure how they did overall in the standings.  I know they were in the consolation bracket.  They haven't played together since Peach Days in September.
Fun times were had by all !!

Landon and Kacey and Carol and kids came home Sunday.
