Oh What Fun

Opening the Christmas Boxes, and setting up the tree the other night, I found Santa's hat. Of course, everyone that was there had to put it on (some by force), and get their picture taken. Rog was afraid his mug would end up on the blog, can you imagine !! Who would ever do that??

Oh, and I can't forget !!  It's Christel's birthday today !!  Let's see.............that's a BIG  2-6.  Boy THOSE were the days, I remember 26 very well :)

Love you CJ !!

Saturday Surprise

Saturday I surprised my good friend Theresa Hyde with a trip to Larry Wiggil's home.  He has it decorated so beautifully for Christmas, with 180+ nativities, and 30+ Christmas trees, not to mention the Dicken's villages downstairs.  This "guy" in the tub above is one of my favorite things to see.
Mom met us there, and we had a good time walking through Larry's beautiful home and wondering and exclaiming over the different things.  I can't describe it - you have experience it !

Twlight - CJ's gift to us all

Eclipse, the third installment in the Twilight Series was released on DVD on Saturday, December 4th. Of course, this called for a celebration !!!

Here we are, the Twi-hards who lasted.......to the end.
Bonnie, Emily, Sherry, Amber, Amy and Judy - we're sorry you had to leave early.

There may have been one old lady who fell asleep on the floor and proceeded to snore it up, while the younger individuals made fun and sport...........but she SHALL remain nameless.

Are you for Team Jacob??

 Or Team Edward??

Christel Jo really outdid herself, and put on a spectacular !!! party for all to enjoy.

Worth Watching - I loved it !

I loved this, I don't know why but it really struck a chord, and I was in tears before it was over. It made me think of many things, some of which were; Ordinary people, respect, remember the TRUE meaning of the season. As I watched the people, both the singers and the on-lookers, I saw at first, confusion of the recipients, happiness and pride of those delivering the message, respect by those who KNEW to stand, very very few indifferent people who either had no idea what the message was, or didn't care and kept on eating their meal. Enjoyment and wonder, and joining in and participation of those who I don't think were in on the staging of the event. Come on - we all know so many of the words, I would have started singing too ! I am so thankful for my Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Here's the MOTAB version - a little faster and upbeat.

My ancestors/relations..........who do I look like?

Ann, Edna, Eliza, Lucy, May, Martha, Mary Ann, Mette..........
I used to think that Tonya totally looked like my mom, but after seeing Lucy's picture (top right), I think she looks (or Tonya looked) alot like her.  Some of these fine women are from the Dickson line, and others from the Dawson, and Porter line.

Do you see Jolene Price in there?   She's not, but her grandmother is, and they are almost identical.  I think my Dickson aunts look alot like Edna, especially Aunt Dixie and Aunt Maisie.

They all lived such different lives than the life that I live.  Ann, Martha, Mary Ann, and Mette all were pioneers, and crossed the plains to Utah.  I don't know if I would have been that strong.   I HOPE I would have been.

I am grateful for my ancestors who embraced the gospel and joined the church initially.  I sometimes wonder if I would have let the missionaries in........  I HOPE I would have.

I am truly blessed, and look forward to meeting all of these fine ladies someday.
