Project started

Well, a hard, long, grueling, boring, "fun at first", valuable? project was started.  The old white garage needs another coat of paint............but first the old has to be scraped off !  We'll keep you in the loop with the progress.  It may be awhile.......

Gone Fishin'

CJ took these first four pictures, and shared them with me.
Zac spends a lot of time getting hooks unstuck from bushes and trees, and sometimes re-attaching hooks/spinners.
It was kind of muddy.  Good thing for BOGS !
There were a few bites, and  even a fish or two on the lines, but didn't get them reeled in.
I think this was just before Treyson fell in.  WHOOPS !!
I coaxed them all out on the bridge for a picture.  I told them I didn't want them looking at me.
Manda looked the pic, and named it "Sad Fishermen".
And at the end of it all, I snapped this beautiful family picture in the last rays of the day.  LOVE IT !

Thatcher's Pre-school Graduation

We've been getting alot of rain lately.  I took this picture (looking WEST) as we were headed into the Elementary school for Thatcher's pre-school Graduation.
He has been going to Natalie LaJeaunesse (on the Island Road).
Here they are singing
A Tudy Tah A Tudy Tah A Tudy Tah Tah.....
Thumbs up, Elbows Back, Feet apart, Knees together, Tongue out, Eyes closed, Turn around......
It was so cute and fun to watch.
Boston and Kasen and Thatch were such pals.
Congratulations Thatcher !!

Chef Treyson

Last week in Scouts, Treyson made a supper to bring home to the family.
There were snickerdoodles (ready to be cooked), and a big pot of hot potato soup with celery and bacon in it !  YUMMY !  Also, a big loaf of French bread with butter and garlic.

Everyone (except mom who was sick) chowed down.  IT. WAS. SO. GOOD.
Treyson and Tagg baked a plateful of cookies, and tried to give it away, going to THREE different neighbor's homes...........But no one was HOME !!  So they brought them back, and the family ate them !

Good Job Treyson !!

In the Barnyard

We picked us up some new Guinea Fowl.
Two males, and one hen.
After a few days of trial and error, they have finally made their home...........no more flying the coop (so to speak), hopefully they can free range, stay in the barnyard, keep pests (insects) at bay, and call out to warn of strangers.
We tried to keep them caged up, but they kept getting stuck between the vinyl fence and the coop. Now they are just out in the barnyard.
Dear old Billy - we sure like him.  He is the friendliest goat.  He is a WETHER, which is a buck that has been "fixed".  He is sure big though, and he did get rambunctious with CJ that one time, and he likes to rub into you, and likes to be petted.  But I really don't think he has a mean bone in his body.
Roger decided to let the little ones loose in the barnyard, and they have had a great time frolicking around, jumping, climbing, butting, hopping, running.........it is fun to watch them.
Thatcher can pick them up all by himself - IF he can catch them.  The little boys are a lot tamer and friendlier than the little girls.   Snickerdoodle (who is being carried by Thatcher above) is the cutest and friendliest.
Nuzzling Noses
We bought an old stereo console for $25 on Morgan Moms, and converted it into a baby goat feeder !
It is working out so well !  I don't think Roger could have bought the necessary wood for less than $25, and this way he hardly had to do any work to get it ready to go.
