Back - filling

The foundation is done - now for the back-filling
First - a little finish up of the underground plumbing (This was done on Friday)
Zac worked on this masterpiece -  the pump/grinder will sit in the bottom of this "bucket", and the top part which Zac built, is for ease of access to the pump in the future.  Hopefully this won't be necessary, but just in case.
We started about 9am Saturday morning
It was a beautiful day
Zac moved the dirt, and got as close as he could.
A little shoveling was necessary..........
And then the Kubota was used
Rog and Thatch, watching the action.  Rog was hating life, not being able help and feeling pretty worthless.  My goodness, he needs to take a chill pill.  None of us was feeling that way, so he shouldn't.
Zac is extremely careful and cautious with the little boys, and after hearing about that poor little 5-year old who was killed on a tractor yesterday (about this same time !) in Henefer, it just makes you want to be even more careful.
They had a lot of fun playing around
Treyson loved being up on tope of the piles of dirt as Zac was removing it!
Thatch was climbing up and down and all around.  He is pretty adventurous.
Tagg collected all of the little metal pieces that Grandpa D and I had knocked off the foundation.  It made me smile.  I remember doing EXACTLY THE SAME THING when I was Tagg's age, and my mom and dad were building their house in 1967.
Tagg loves to help his dad.
And these boys sure love their mom
Swinging.........
I think he may need braces !
Smiley
He's a little monkey !
Grandma and Thatch - she wasn't feeling super well, but of course she had delicious chili made for us for lunch :)
Dad's helper
The bucket contraption went in and out - getting it just right
Hard worker
Final placement
After a day of work and play and fun...........we went up to the Rees Ranch aka Nightmare Ranch, and had a fun scary night.  Treyson and I went through WITHOUT A GUIDE, and it was pretty freaky !  Tagg and Treyson and a couple of Lindsey's girls went through with a guide the second time.  FUN TIMES !!

Beautiful Fall !

Brian's missionary farewell was wonderful on Sunday.  He leaves for Oklahoma on November 5th.  Just love this picture of all of them.  Brian, Colton, Tiana, Erika and Aaron (wish Lance could have been here, but he is super busy with schooling at Stanford).
Zac would like to repair the Welch Ditch Dam headgate.  This guy is ALWAYS looking for a project !
Isn't this just a BEAUTIFUL picture?   I. LOVE. FALL.
New selfies :)
That pesky mink is actually not a BIT timid.
Wrestling is starting, and Tagg is in FINE FORM.  Thatcher does anything that Tagg does..........including going potty in the toilet!   I think he's almost got it !
Foundation is all poured.  Zac is working on the underground plumbing.  There are issues with the septic system that still have to be worked out.  It will be great when it's done.  Hope Dad doesn't stress too bad before then......

Building #1

We are building a shed at the property
Moroni Wardell came up and dug the hole for the footings/foundation.  That is Zac there holding the transit, so that everything remains level.
Running a water line
Bret Kendell setting forms for the foundation
If you look close, you can see the footings are already poured

Saturday Morning.....

I don't know why these photos posted backwards, but I'm too lazy to change them.
CJ and Treyson and Tagg slept up Devil's Hollow last night with Lindsey and 5 of her 6 girls in the motorhome.  CJ said she about froze !  The boys loved it.  When we went up this morning to pick them up, it was warm and beautiful.
Tagg and Junior - as you can see, the hunters were successful !
Here come the girls, with Treyson riding on the back.
This one had a fun hike up in the mountains.  He was wearing orange.
Beautiful Fall morning - the colors are just gorgeous.
Thatcher checking out one of the deer.
Before we went up Devil's Hollow to get the rest of the family, Zac and Thatcher helped to set up some election signs.  Thank you SO SO MUCH Zachary.
Our Team = RICH NELSON LAFITTE !!
Thatch was a big helper - sure love him :)

Chans and Tausha's Wedding Reception

I thought I'd post these pics so Manda and Fam, and Landon and Fam could see.  Joni and Kerry and family went to so much work, and it turned out beautifully.  Here we are after we parked, walking to the barn.
A little closer
The music was playing, the temperature wasn't too cold, thank goodness.  I think the worst thing they had to deal with was the wind (in previous days), wrecking the decoration they had set up early.
CUTE CUTE !
Cute decorations
Tausha's mom sewed the draping !  WOW !!
Terri and Jaylee - I wish I could have gotten pics of everyone that was there (family)
Book table
They found this old wagon in the barn when cleaning, and used it to hold gifts
Not a great pic - I snapped it on the fly.  Sorry I cut Kaley's head off !  Harper actually smiled and waved to Roger !?
Zac was the only one of his family that could go - Treyson and Tagg were super sick with flu, so CJ stayed home with them and Thatcher.  Hope they don't all get sick !
The line was just the parents and Chans and Tausha.  Purple and Turquise were the colors - beautiful !
Joni and K.P.
Tables were on the one side with the food
Lots of goodies to enjoy !
Grandma and Harper
More family, with Roger D.
Heading back to the cars - it was great !
