Goat Recap

This Year's Goat Babies has been different for me.
I'm not as connected, as we are not bottle feeding them.
This one I'm holding?  I think she's France's (below) - but I'm not sure.........

France was our 3rd mom to have babies.
She had triplets too !  Same as Azula (see picture below)
DOF (Darkness of the Forest) had a single baby still born/died at birth in between Azula and France
Azula's babies are all doing well.
CJ took the black one over to her house to bottle feed - named her Frosty, because she's got a white dollop of frosting on top of her head.  Roger is wanting to ship the other girl over there too, because she is so wild, and if we are going to keep her to breed, we want her tame.
Paris had triplets on the 19th.  The first two were fine, but the last one wasn't born till  much later, and suffocated inside (probably), and was born dead unfortunately.  One of Paris's babies that lived, at one week old died of lice infestation :(
We took Lewis, DOF, Thelma and Louise over to Zac's to eat down his back pasture.
Also, took France's 3 babies, and Paris' 2 babies (before the one died), and 1 of Azula's triplets over, so that CJ and the boys could bottle feed them.
Bottle feeding is going good.  They are down to 3 a day (instead of 4), and no more warming the milk.
Since that one baby died, there is space for the little girl goat who is still on Azula............  we'll see what CJ thinks about taking her too.

Last Friday we went down to Steve Bell's, and got all of the babies vaccinated, treated for lice, and de-horned.  Even though their daddy was a polled buck, most all of them needed to be de-horned.    Payson and Tagg came with us, and they had a great time roaming Steve's magical barnyard.
Checking out the chickens
And bunnies
On Saturday, we went up to Zac and CJ's and hung out with the babies for a little bit.
Springtime - goat babies, grandkids.........it doesn't get any better than that !!
