Spook Alley - Recap

I wanted to tell more about our Spook Alley experience the other night.  That is what we used to call them when I was a little girl.

I took Tagg and Treyson to the Staples Halloween Maze. It was GREAT! Tagg got a glow stick (the ghouls know NOT to scare you when you have a glow stick). We went through the whole thing (it was a hard maze!)and it was good. Treyson loved it, but didn't think it was scary enough, hanging with the "glow stick babies (me and Tagg", so he went in alone. He wasn't scared, but he DID get lost in the maze. Tagg on the other hand, with only ONE time through the thing, practically RAN through it the second time. He has such a great sense of direction and memory.  I had a hard time keeping up with him :)

Then we headed up to Frightmare Ranch at the Rees Family barn in Round Valley. This wasn't a maze, but a more traditional walk through into different rooms. At one part we had to climb up and over a 4 foot barrier, and then back out another barrier on the other side, which was kind of hard on this old grandma :) Treyson didn't want an escort with a flashlight (so they wouldn't scare us), but Tagg said, "Bring on the flashlight"! He wasn't proud (haha) Tagg handled it really well, and the ghouls didn't scare him, BUT they LOOKED extremely scary, and the scenes were frightening. The most disturbing one to me, was at the end, in the WHITE ROOM, there were three little girls, probably 3-4 years old, made up to look dead, holding out their headless dolls, and asking us if we wanted to "play" in a monotone voice........ creepy. I guess it's a family affair, and all the Rees family (grandpa, grandma, mom, dad, and kids)  join in.  Treyson ended up going with Jerry Pierce and his family, and he knows Jaden, Camilla, and Alexa, and they got the full treatment of SCARE, and so he was happy.

At the end when we were driving home, the boys discovered glow in the dark "stuff" on their hands.........AND my car seat. We finally figured out that Tagg's glow stick had a hole in it. When I got to their house, and went to put in in the garbage, I noticed that each end had been CHEWED on !! What !??! I guess he was more nervous than I thought :)
