Lodgepole pines in the Uintas

The boys had fun playing in the woods.  Treyson always wanted to hike off (with company of course), away from  the men who were cutting the poles.  We did a little of that, but I didn't want to get too far off, it makes me nervous.  I'm always afraid we'll run onto a bear.    The kids grabbed big sticks, and tried to knock smaller dead limbs from the trees.  That worked until Treyson swung back and nailed Tagg in the forehead.

We saved alot of money, even with gas, by cutting our own poles instead of buying what we needed at Dallas Green's or IFA.  We are using them to build the enclosure around our new Chicken Hut.  More about that in a future post.

We're getting there.............

Nursing a horsefly bite.  It went right through his long sleeved shirt !

Goofing around with Landon

Basking in the sunshine

A few more and we'll be done !

Snack time :)

All done, and ready to head home.
We got about 50 poles total.
It was a great day with the boys
(big AND little)
