More about Payson's Preschool

I'm pretty sure this picture is at Payson's Preschool - playin' a bit of hockey?

The name of the school is SJI Explorers  (SJI stands for Saint Joseph's Institute)

I don't know if he wears this uniform everyday - because in some of the pics he's not wearing it......not sure about that. 

They had UN day at the Preschool, and his class was to represent China.  Landon said they found this cute Chinese outfit at a store, and it had a hat/wig, with a long braid on the back of the hat.  They couldn't get him to wear that !

In another part of the program, his class danced to Kung Fu Fighting.  This is the outfit he wore for that.  I guess in practice he did really well, but when Mom and Dad were there, and about 100 other people, he got kind of shy.  When they introduced him, he had to walk out in front of everyone, and he wouldn't do it, so Kacey had to take his hand and walk with him.............not her favorite place to be (in the spotlight :)  Yeah Mom !!

Remember those trees we cut down?  Well, the work wasn't finished - not by a long shot. 

Thatcher needed gloves......just like everyone else !

Treyson stacked, Tagg threw to Treyson, Grandpa Roger ran the splitter with his GOOD arm, Zac moved the logs on the splitter, CJ  and Grandpa handed Zac the logs...........then in a little while, I took Tagg's job, and he helped Treyson.  Thatcher played in the back of the truck. 

Tree Project at the Property

Here is what was in between :) - two big trees, coming from different sides of the creek, meeting and intertwining in the middle.  Ready to fall at any time, and possibly break the Welch Ditch Dam.   Dee wanted them cut down, and so did we.  We went to work (mostly Zac with the chainsaw and Roger D. on the tractor)

We watched Thatcher for a little bit while CJ volunteered at the Book Fair.

Cam was HERE, but goes home today :(.......

They read scary stories all the way up to Wellsville.

We had such WONDERFUL plans........ all of which were spoiled :(   A flat tire (CJ's van) on the way up, sold out spooky barn hayride (what?!!?), crazy busy, too dark, hay bale climb/maze/stack overrun with older kids........  So disappointing.  

They settled for an ice cream and cookie at Burger King, and then we headed home at 45-50 mph, on a little donut tire........  Hopefully next year we will have better luck!

Lazy Day - (sort of)

We went to the Library, and Cam got a book.  We read scary stories to each other, and she plans on sharing with the boys when we drive up to the corn maze tonight.   

I got my flower garden all cleaned out (I usually do this in the Spring, but my mom inspired me..........and I'm home...........and I have the time).  Cam helped by dumping loads and loads of "stuff" to the goats, AND by reading to me :)

We also got lunch at Pretzelmaker here in Morgan.  Great Times !!

Poster, Planetarium and Property - a Plethora of "P" s

I ordered a LTL (Larger than Life) print from the company of the same name.  Very happy with how it turned out.  It's vinyl and sticks to the wall.  Love it ! It was a bear to hang, but Rog and I got it done - YEAH !

Yesterday afternoon we travelled to SLC to the Clark Planetarium.  It is now located near the Gateway.

And there are alot of new interactive displays, such as this one "walking on the moon"

I had a $100 gift certificate, that I had won last year at UAC, so we made full use of it.  It doesn't cost to actually get in the Planetarium and view the displays......, but between the SUPER VOLCANO show under the BIG DOME theater, goodies for all, and a trip to the gift shop for memorabilia (Peacock for Thatcher, and rocks, and Mars Mud, and "Pet Tornadoes", etc.) we managed to use it up :)

Then back to the Property we went, because Cam HAD. TO. HAVE. a "party at the Property" while she was here :)

We had a MINK incident, that I failed once again to catch on video ;(

We cooked hamburgers, hotdogs, and marshmellows !
