What's up with Manda and family?

Cash is sure growing and getting big.  He is a sweet cute happy little guy, always ready with a smile.

Utah History Fair Day at the Courthouse grounds, in cooperation with the DUP.
Here Thatcher and friends are watching a honeybee hive demonstration.  Shawnie Meacham (one of Landon's schoolmates) is his substitute teacher for the rest of the year (woman at the far right).  Some of the kids I know in the photo, are Crew Merrill (standing next to the Male leader - he was in our Primary Class), next to him an Archibald kid (in red) who used to live in our ward, then Thatcher, then Weston Judd (Garret's boy), then the tall kid is Body Nelson (Blake's kid).  The kid behind Thatcher with the ponytail is Kolby Kimbal's kid.  He and Thatch are really good friends.

We got a call about an hour before the performance.  I think Tagg told his family when he got home from school THAT day - oh !  btw, I have a concert tonight.

What's up with Landon and Family?

I already did the post about Brightyn's baptism - but I thought  I would mention that it was so neat she was able to go to the State Capitol and have her picture taken among the beautiful blossoms.

A couple of Saturdays ago, LuAnn and I were able to run down to Payson's game, watch a little while, and then took Bright with us to Hayleigh Frost's baby shower in Corrine (long way away !!).  Here is a cute pic with LuAnn and Bright (her great grand daughter, and a couple of her GREAT GREAT grand-daughters) - Jaylee and Gracie -  they are Caiti's kids.  Sweet little girls. 

Bright was glad to see Aunt Lynette (down from Idaho) - she couldn't remember her, but I tell you now, she'll never forget her.  Lynette is always so fun, and makes such a big deal of the kids.  We love her.   

There were these cute mini- cupcakes that were made up to look like succulents.  I think Bright must have have 6-7 of them !!

The day after we got home from Arizona, Landon had to travel there for work, and he stayed at Manda's for the night.  He sent me this picture to make me jealous - him lovin' on Cash. Love it !

Tulip Festival

My sister Erika, has been working a little bit at the Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival.  She was able to get tickets for us, and one chilly morning (May 3) I took Mom and Dad down for the tour.  It was very beautiful, and so nice to spend the time together.  We had a golf-cart to drive around in, and we were there right when it opened (9am), and it wasn't crowded, and with our jackets on, it wasn't too cold.  The sun peaked out, and we finished up just as a hail storm started, and so it worked out perfectly.  Thanks so much KUK !!  Love you !!!

Mother's Day Recap

Mother's Day was cold and windy, so we decided to move our barbeque indoors at the Property.  I'm so very grateful for my mom, and her loving ways and attitude.  I wish I could be more like her.  

Sometimes I feel like I'm just holding on by the skin of my teeth.  

I wish I could have gotten a picture of all of us that were there, but glad I got this one.  Sure love this husband, Sons, grandsons, and grand-daughter (and the ones who are missing).  I am grateful everyday that I get to be a Mother and Grandmother.  Children and Grandchildren bring so much JOY into our lives........(*and sometimes alot of stress and worry)  - or is that just me? 


I had the older grandkids fill out some papers about Mothers.........Here are some of the answers:

My MOM - Kacey, by Payson and Brightyn
Likes to play catch.  She says I love you (and I hate crypto).  She really loves her kids, and  Dr. Pepper and chocolate Easter Eggs.  Her job is cleaning and working at Yvonne's.  If she had time she would like to lay in bed and be lazy.  She's really good at working, and making food.  She is the Best.

My MOM- CJ, by Treyson, Tagg and Thatcher
She likes to go to Ogden and have fun and watch TV and argue and make up.  She says, "My little Chinese sweatshop workers" and "Thatcher Roger Rich".  Mom really loves us, but Talon (the dog) more and she loves to sleep in.  She loves coffee, and likes to eat Chicken, and drink Dad's rootbeer.   She is a "craft" worker and Lazar cutter,  and if she had time (and money) she would go to Disneyland/world and the Grand Canyon and sleep more.  She's really good at working and cleaning.  She is the Best and Amazing - she's my mom.

She likes to work at the Property and talk about Landon's mission, and says "Oh my Hell" (apparently too much, because BOTH my boys listed this answer).  She really loves her family and the scriptures, and the temple and Roger D.  She likes to eat chicken and Salmon and drink water and vegetable cocktail at Christmas.  Her job is to make people mad about their taxes, she's the County Assessor. If she had time, she would like to do more scrapbooking and  travel, and I'd like to go to Alaska (Zac) and Peru (Landon) with her.  I love her because she is a hard worker and she cares about everyone.
