And two old fogies here at the homestead - but hey, we are the best grandparents EVER !!!

On Christmas day we gathered at our home for the usual ham and funeral potatoes and slush.  Then the kids opened presents.  It was books for the grandkids, and it is so rewarding to see how excited they get with their picture books that I spent so much time on.  They truly love them, and it makes me so happy. 

And here we are with Mom and Dad's family the day after Christmas. 
Erika and Aaron were so fortunate to have ALL of their kids in from places far away.  We were missing Jaden and Abby who were in California with her family, and Dallin who may have been working, and of course, our Arizona family. 

We had a good time eating, and visiting, and playing games.
Thanks Mom and Dad for everything. 

Sleepover on Christmas Adam - a new tradition?

Bentley slept for about 2 1/2 hours, then was smiley for a little while afterwards, but I was sure glad I had Brightyn to be her 2nd mom, and also that Landon and Kacey came and got her so she could sleep in her own bed at home, and I didn't have to be a nervous wreck.  

This girl is a life saver.  So sweet and caring.  Such a helper.

All these two wanted to do was make card towers, and they had a blast !!

Special Day

On December 10th, we were able to go to the Ogden Temple, and have Cody's temple work completed.  It was a special time.   Families are Forever !!

A trip to the Bippity Boppity Boo Boutique (not Parlor per BexleeI) turned Bex and Bright into Cinderella and Belle - oh aren't they beautiful ?

Landon had a quick trip to Hawaii for work.  He said it went very well.  He was able to get this gorgeous picture while there, and also tour Pearl Harbor.

Wrestling has started !

Love it that these two boys can be on the same team at the same time.
Both boys wrestle JV. 
Tagg wrestles about 165, and Treyson wrestles 215.

They support each other fully, and it is great to see them interact together and treat each other with compassion and respect. 

So far this year they have wrestled at four matches/tournaments

Low Key Thanksgiving

How's that for a sad picture?  Roger will be glad, as he doesn't like his picture taken.  We had a very nice dinner, which Roger and I can handle without breaking a sweat, so I guess we are pretty much "adulting" now, haha !  I should have gotten a group picture, but did not.   We were a slim crew this year.  Zac and CJ and Tagg and Thatcher (Treyson was sick), Erika and Aaron (last minute guests, but we were so happy to have them), Mom and Dad, and LuAnn, and me and Roger.   We are thankful for our many blessings.  Life is good.

After the State Championship game, Treyson headed home with the team, but Zac and CJ and Tagg and Thatcher stayed to play another day.........

After an uncomfortable night sleeping in the truck (kind of cold too) - they started out early the next day.  Never been to Sand Hollow State Park, but they were adventurous. 

They were even able to help a family who had rolled their Razor, and were glad they had a winch to help them get their rig turned back upright.

This is at "The Top of the World Trail" - I guess is was quite the drop-off, and CJ said it was one of the scariest things she had ever done.  Even the guys were nervous I guess. 

This puts my stomach in knots.
