Deer Hunt 2019

We had a wonderful morning up at Round Valley last Saturday.  We met at the shop at 6am, then headed up.  Zac and family hit a deer on Hwy 66 with their General.  Killed the deer, and did alot of damage to the General :(   When we got out into the range, they (Zac, Tagg, Landon) started hiking up the backside of Twin Peaks while it was still dark.   We moved around to the lookout point, and eventually drove down into Little Grove.  It was cold before the sun made an appearance, but by walking we were able to keep our feet warm.  When the sun came out, it was pleasant.  The mighty hiker hunters, hiked down into Little Grove.  No luck on the deer front, even with their trusty brusher (Tagg).   We moved back up to the lookout point, and glassed the front of Twin Peaks, but still no deer!.  We sent Tagg and Thatcher to brush down off the hill, as we drove down lower.  Still no deer.  We drove out of the range by 12:30, just as the storm clouds were moving in.  It was a great day to be together as a family.  Sure hope Kacey and the kids can come next time.
