Welch Ditch Headgate

The Welch Ditch Headgate was in dire need of repair.
Zac worked with the ditch company to get it done. 
Zac, and Roger, and Grandpa D supplied the labor and cement.
As you can see in the picture above, the creek is down, and it's all dug out, and all framed up.

While Zac was on vacation, the creek came UP !
We had to bail out water (the creek had gone back down at this point)

And sandbag around the area.

Roger dropped his wallet in the mud during that process.

The day after Zac got home from vaca, and before he went back to work, we did the pour.  We had our trusty 80 year old helpers with us :)  LOVE THEM !!  We were all holding our breath, but there were no problems at all.
