Damage at the Property

Morgan got about 6 inches of snow last Friday before last.  We were in Vegas, on our way to Arizona, and missed it all.  It was a heavy snow, and BOY, it did a number on some tree branches at the Property. 

We raked up HUGE piles.
I say WE (tongue in check) - I didn't do any, but Zac and the boys did, and Mom and Dad (while we were gone), and then Roger when we got back.  

They cleaned up the burn pile, pulled out all of the metal, and scraped down the dirt/mud that has built up. 

We couldn't get out on the Property grass, because the ground is still too wet, and the tractor would leave big ruts.  But we got all of the piles picked up off the road, and down to the burn pile.

The branches were still too green and wet to light.  We tried, but with no success.

There were a few big piles of logs that needed to be split, and they got that done too.
Look at Thatcher (near Grandpa Roger's knee) in the background.  I kept worrying that he would fall in the fast moving creek........... - yikes !!  Those big boys of Zac's are getting to be really big helpers. 

What a difference 3 weeks makes !!

Work in Arizona

This past week we traveled to Arizona to be with Cam while Manda and Brendon took a much needed vacation to Mexico.  Cam had school, and we hung out at Manda and found a bunch of stuff to do. 

Yard work/minor fix-ups were on the list. 

We weeded, and trimmed...............

This girl was right there to help and entertain us (when she wasn't at school)

We removed this HUGE Aloe plant that was crowding the tree.
WOW, what a job ! 

Cleaned out the yard shed............

Rebuilt the block wall

This was ONE of many trips to Home Depot and Lowes

Nick laid around being lazy..........he is getting old. 

After we rebuilt the roof, Cam painted the boards

Fixed some outlets that were broken

And toilet paper holders

And Cam's fan/light in her bedroom

Fixed the sunscreen on the sliding door

Sustenance !!!   Cam is quite the baker

and good Chili maker !!
She was chief cook and bottle washer :)

Then on to Sprinkler System repair.
Look at all the different types of sprinkler heads that were in the back lawn.
No two were the same - too funny !!

The new sprinkler timer box just about kicked Roger's butt..........
Can we just say.......3rd time is a CHARM :)

Sasso came over and hung out one day, and he and Cam made cookies!!
They were YUMMY 

Of course one night we had Grandpa Roger's famous Macaroni and Tomato juice (used one of the precious JARS of juice that we had brought down from Morgan) 

Some of the in ground pipes were split, so we fixed and re-buried them. 

Cam was a great helper

We even discovered stepping stones that we didn't even know were there !

We didn't get to the big log pile like we wanted to......... A log splitter and more time was needed.  We'll have to make this a priority the next time we are down.

What's up lately........ a little bit of everything.

Zac has been building a desk for Thatcher's gymnastics building........
He's done such a good job, and it is so well built. 

After coming in like a Lion (at the first of March), Spring finally seems to have sprung (mid month).  Here CJ is, combing out Bandit's winter coat.  What a mess !!

Even with a big pile of snow still behind the garage, the boys talked Roger into putting up the trampoline.

Sure is pretty though. 

A little bit of card playing on Sunday, March 17th - St. Paddy's Day.  CJ  made a green dinner, and we enjoyed being together.

Thatcher's teeth (permanent ones) are finally in (and old baby ones out).
Dr. Haslam didn't do him any favors..........and pulled the baby one that was MORE firmly attached than expected.

Cam is through with Wrestling Season.
She loved it, but is glad for the break.
She's back to playing her bass - YEAH! !!

This pretty girl had a dance competition, and let me tell you, she was SPOT ON.
Every move was right to the music, and she  was confident, and did so beautifully. 

And now it looks like instead of leaving like a LAMB...........March is going to give us ONE LAST BLAST

Too bad we aren't there to enjoy it !!
