Ironman Duels in Fillmore

Tagg went 6 wins and 3 losses at the Ironman tournament.
The first day he was down with 2 wins and 3 losses.  He had been sick all week, and still wasn't feeling the best. The second day he came back with a vengeance, and won all 4 ! 
9 matches in two days gives a lot of mat time, which is good.

Arizona Family Fun in Utah

Manda, Bren and Cash came to Utah on the Monday before Thanksgiving, and left on the Tuesday after.  It was a wonderful busy crazy 8 days.  We had a great time building a snowman, and having Thanksgiving Dinner, and a sleepover, and a movie, and a lazy day, and visiting Great Grandparents, and going to the Aquarium in SLC with Erika.

Sleepover and Fun times in the Jeep !

We usually have a sleepover on Thanksgiving night.  This year Bright, Bex, and Cash were the only takers.  The next morning we met Landon and Kacey and Payson and Bentley at the Megaplex to see Moana 2 !  So much fun !!

Bentley is THREE

Snow Day for our Arizona Boy

We had such a fun day before Thanksgiving. The snow was JUST RIGHT, and the sun was shinning, and it was the first time Bren and Cash had ever played in the snow !

Day before Thanksgiving is always fun ! 
They had a good breakfast, but didn't hike to the "M" because of the snow.  They went up around the cemetery, and the older wrestlers were paired with the little league wrestlers, to get to know them better.  Such a great idea ! 

Thatcher got thumped on at the Weber tournament, but he's a trooper !

Racing again ! Zac competes in Snow Canyon Half Marathon

We drove down with Zac and Thatcher on Friday before the big State Championship game (Saturday), and stayed over night so that Zac could be up early to run the race. 

13.1 miles - and he did it in 1 1/2 hours - Great accomplishment.

Thatcher competed in the Will Pentz Memorial Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, November 9th.  It's going to be an exciting year !  We are really looking forward to it.

Football Semi Finals - Morgan v Manti - November 8th - Zions Bank Stadium

Man, it was an exciting intense game..........
Probably haven't been that nervous at a football game since Landon played his senior year in the playoffs against Wasatch, and we lost :(

This was a MUCH better outcome.  Tagg played great !

A little get away

My good friend Sherilee invited me for a 2 night, 3 day getaway.
First off we did an endowment session at the new Orem Temple. 

 

Then we headed to her family cabin near Sundance. 

We spent two days working on our computers, including updating 2 months worth of my blogs, and getting a few picture books caught up, and Sherilee was able to almost complete a kid's picture book created from a family ancestor story, using AI to generate the pictures.  It was amazing, and it has really got me excited to complete my kid's book, "Will Dickson and the Third Nephite" that I've been putting off for 10+ years, due to the overwhelming thought of getting the "pictures" right.  

We also took a hike along the roads near the cabin, and saw a bunch of turkeys.  We explored a broken down cabin that was falling into the creek, and surveyed the progress on a cabin that was being built.  Last year, a smaller cabin was being demolished, and now a newer, bigger cabin is being built in it's place.  They have the excavation done, and the cement foundation.  We also walked down the road and looked at another cabin that was getting an addition, and some VRBO cabins.  It is such a nice cozy area, just above Sundance resort.  We had a wonderful time. 

After our get a way, Sherilee dropped me off at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman so I could catch Tagg's football game.  Semi-finals against Manti.

October Happenings at the Rich Ranch

As part of the home football games, Zac is in charge of getting the football helmet blown up.  Here, Thatcher is helping him.

He would have been 8 years old.

The girlies came up and we had a sleepover, painted pumpkins, swung on the swing, you name it, we had alot of laughs and fun times.  Even sister, Bentley spent a few hours with us.  It was a real treat :)
