KSL NEWS - Salt Lake International Airport
suspended all operations around 9:30 a.m. due to deteriorating conditions, said spokeswoman Barbara Gann. Planes headed for Salt Lake were being diverted, and Provo Mayor John Curtis told KSL the Provo airport was prepared for four diverted flights to land there. Earlier Thursday morning, a cargo plane that had just landed skidded while taxiing on a runway in Salt Lake. No injuries were reported.
Landon was supposed to be in SLC at 1pm. Now they are saying MAYBE it will be 9:30 pm...........Why couldn't this snow have waited ONE MORE DAY !?!?!?!
**UPDATE at 10pm. He flew from Seattle to San Diego this afternoon on Alaskan Air, and has now FINALLY caught a flight home on SkyWest, should arrive in SLC at 11pm. Kacey and Carol have gone to get him. I haven't heard from him since he boarded the plane to San Diego at 3pm our time. Thank goodness for
Flightaware, I have been able to track his progress and look for updates.
