Our August

You can't really tell it from this picture, but Roger is cleaning the screen from our bedroom window.  We took out the sliding windows (and screen) and polished them up really good.  Even took out the bottom "rail" (Which we didn't know could be removed, but Zac told us it would) and cleaned it too.

Rog and I have started cleaning our own house (Every other Thursday morning for 1 hour), instead of paying someone.  Roger vacuums everything, and dusts, and removes and shakes the rugs.  I do the bathrooms, and all of the tile mopping (there is alot).  It has worked out REALLY well.

Look close, you can see Roger spraying, and me driving,  We have to keep up on the spraying every month, and it takes alot of spray. 

Sunflowers are my favorite. 

We finally sold some lawnmowers.  I should say the Roger finally decided to part with some of them :)

We watched the fire of course.

Our January

Happy 65th to me
Now officially on Medicare.........

Erika and I went to see "A Beautiful Noise" at the Eccles in SLC.
We had previously see in on Broadway in NYC about 4 years ago. 

Rog and I went to see the movie STANDOUT

IT WAS Great !! 

Our usual spots

Roger working on the lawnmowers, changing transmissions, oil, etc.
We will sell some of them, and use the others. 

Got the grating for the top of the "Box"
Now we just need to get the other grating over the weir and by the outlet at the creek, set down in flush with the cement.  

 

Our Miscellaneous October

The days are getting shorter and colder.
There is sure FROST on the pumpkin. 

Rog fired up the old compressor for sprinkler blowouts. 

Always glad for this time of year.
Fall is my favorite.

The Pit Project is continuing.  I'll post more about that soon. 

Rog got his fix in Vegas, on our way down to Manda's for
our Rocky Pointe Vacation. 

 

We have LOVED LOVED LOVED supporting Tagg in his football. 

Thatcher too !!
We are so glad he will be a Freshman next year, so we can continue the support for another 4 years. 

Can't remember if I mentioned this before, but we are closing Rich Lawn Care.
Mowing and Trimming our yard, Mom's yard, Zac's yard, and the Property will keep us as busy as we went to be.  Hallelujah !!  It was a great thing (2018-2025) but all good things must come to an end.

October Happenings - Me and Rog

Carrots are done ! 

Zac got his Washer/Dryer back in service.  Everything is painted, and they will just wait on the dog wash at this time. 

Cut down a few trees at the Property 

My Uncle Paul Porter died (he's my dad's sister's husband).  We went to the funeral in Bountiful.  Erika came with Eli (her first grandbaby)

One day Roger caught me sleeping in the car......
That mowing really takes it out of me. 

Speaking of mowing, here are Zac and CJ helping with blowing after mowing Elk Haven.  They have been a real big help in the afternoons. 

Winterizing the Property for winter. 

I got a new (used) day bed to put in the basement.  Now we can sleep 5 adults down there, along with a crib for the baby.  

We had to get a new fridge :(
I had pulled the old one (LG brand) to clean behind it, and I somehow jostled the compressor (which is known for having issues) and it quit.  It would have been over $1000 to fix it, and that's not including the compressors which was covered under warranty.  So we opted to get a new one.  $2500 :( 

Things are going great ! 

We were able to get the last loads of grass and leaves on the garden, and hopefully this will help with the dirt.  It was so dry this year.  

After seeing Landon's sleep apnea mouth piece (when he stayed with us for the big hike in the Grand Canyon), I made an appointment, and I've got one too !  So far it seems to be working very well.  I'm sleeping better!  Yahoo !!  

It holds my bottom jaw from dropping back during sleep, and blocking my airway.  

 

September - What's up with me and Roger

For Labor Day we had a quick impromptu cook out.  
We've only had 3-4 cookouts at the Property this year :(

This is when Traci cut Roger's hair for the wedding.
I wish he would get it done monthly, but he refuses. 

Mom's sunflowers grew well this year also. 
Sunflowers are such happy flowers. 

Good onion crop this year.  Drying them out in the shop. 

My favorite pan (from my Grandma Dickson) broke again.
I got this in 1995 after Grandma died, and the original handle lasted until 2008, then I had Craig Nelson replace it for me.  It's lasted till now, and I've taken it back to Craig.  Hopefully I'll get it back soon.

Tiana (my niece) has been traveling ALL over Europe.  She sends me post cards, and I LOVE THEM !! 

We did tomato juice and salsa this year.  Always glad to get that done. 

Still mowing hard.  I like the exercise I get, but will be glad when it's over. 

LuAnn went to Branson MO with friends. 

Our old 2004 Saturn bit the dust  - we gave it to Kars for Kids.
