Misc. "Us" in July

Our lawn started coming back to life after no water for 3 months.  Wet well finally came online about June 19th.  It's sure been a dry summer.  Only rain we have had was on July 4th.

We had our cement slabs raised, to even out the settling.  We've been really pleased with the result. 

We took Mom's grapevine down.  Looks really nice. 

Love my sun flowers  - these came back from last year's flowers.
All of the seeds I planted (from seeds taken from two years ago heads) were a total bust.  Just like the rest of our garden.  I don't know if it's because the seeds are too old, or if it's because they are copies of copies (like Multiplicity  - IYKYK). 

We've washed our vehicles at the Property.  I helped the first time, but was lazy the second :)

I've been enjoying working at the temple on Wednesdays.  I started on April 9th, and haven't missed a Wednesday.  I really enjoy it. We get new "lines" this coming Wednesday. 

Roger helping me clean and wash (and vacuum) windows in preparation for our AZ guests. 

He also climbed a tree to cut down some small (5 inch in diameter) limbs that were getting in his way during mowing.  We can sure tell we are getting older, it is alot harder to do things.  It seems we always need to ask Zac to help with alot of things, and we don't like to bug him.  

Removed a few wasps nests. 

Had our asphalt redone by Ro Asphalt, owned by Peter and Ally Tonks Bridge.  They did a great job !  

 

Playing Catchup - once again

In no particular order...........

Camryn had an ingrown toenail removed at the doctor's office last week.  It was NOT FUN !  But Manda said she was a trooper, and it feels much better now.  That is something I've never had a problem with thank goodness. 

Yesterday? Carol and Kacey visited the mall.  Payson caught a glimpse of Santa............and that is ALL HE WANTED.  It may be interesting getting him on Santa's lap at this year's Rich Family Party :)

Wrestles at Layton HS last Saturday went well.  The boys are learning a great deal, and sometimes in the process of learning it's not too fun, but they are Rich's - THEY ARE TOUGH !!

This is the last jump of the year.  Then I had them help me take it down for winter.

Treyson is in scouting now.  CJ was called as one of the leaders.  I pulled out all of Zac's stuff from Cub Scouting, and the boys couldn't believe all of the patches and awards he had earned.    I was his leader at the time (1989-1990).  It was so much fun!  I hope Treyson has as great a time as his dad did.

Anna came to help do chores last Monday.  She LOVES animals, and we had a great time in the barnyard. 

Jill (and Ruby) came to pick her up, and LOVED Miss Piggy.  

GROSS - see that little yellow thing UNDER the lid of my cup?!?!?  Yup, it's a spider..........who spun a glorious web !!  IN. MY. CUP.   I wonder how long I drank from it before I noticed him ?   Hmmmmmm.........

Three Things.........

I missed this picture on the Halloween post !  Landon and Cody dressed and Cesar and Ryan, fellow employees at Focus.  I guess they were the biggest HIT of the day.  Cesar (pronounced Sess -sir) and Ryan were especially pleased !  Yes, Landon DID shave his head.  I just about died when he facetimed me !  Now he is completely bald.  What a guy :)

Zac and I traveled to St. George so that he could compete in the Snow Canyon Half Marathon on Saturday morning.  If he runs two races on the St. George Winter Racing Circuit, he is guaranteed another berth in the St. George Marathon next October.  This is one of those qualifying races.  There were 2200 participants, and he placed 94 (overall), 75 in his gender, and 11 in his age/gender category.  He had a PR (personal record) of 1 hours 28 minutes.  His previous fastest time in a half was 1 hour 35 minutes.  Way to go Zac !

While the cat is away, the mouse will play !  I'm the Cat, Roger is the Mouse.  Look what I came home to!??!  A new paved driveway :)  We are MORE than happy about this.  It's been 20 years since we've moved into our house.  It was time.  Happy Day !!
