Farewell talk and luncheon for Tagg

Tagg gave his "farewell" talk in Morgan 5th Ward Sacrament meeting on August 9th.
He did such a good job, and had prepared so well.

Special Day

Tuesday, July 28, 2026, Tagg and Christel received their endowments in the Ogden Temple.

 

It was such a special day.  Lyndsee was CJ's escort, along with her mom Shirlee, and many of her "inklings" friends came to support her too !

Tagg is going on a MISSION !!

We are so happy for Tagg

Last Sunday night, we gathered at the "barn".  Tagg read aloud his mission call. 

It was such a special time :) 

He is going to Florida, Fort Lauderdale Spanish Speaking Mission.
He starts Home MTC on August 5th, then after 1-2 weeks, transfers to Mexico City, Mexico MTC for a few weeks, before flying to Fort Lauderdale.  He is super excited.

Tagg and Thatcher's birthdays

Thatcher turned 14 on the 13th

Tagg turned 18 on the 8th

 We love them both so very much !  They are really close, and do a lot of fun things together.  Tagg includes Thatcher with his friends in many things.  B-Dubs, Pokemon, etc.   Thatcher loves all things LEGO, and fishing at the Property.  We look forward to this year, with exciting things to come :) 

Surprise Visit

Tagg and CJ drove to Arizona to visit a college that Tagg was thinking of going to.  They rode went with Grandma Shirlee, and stayed at her home in Henderson NV, then drove into Surprise AZ early the next morning.  After the college visit, they drove to Manda's home in Mesa, and had a QUICK, FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL visit with our Arizona gang.  I'm so glad they were so accommodating, and took pics like I asked !!!  Then they headed the LONNNNNNNNNNNG way back to Henderson, and got up early the next morning, and drove back Utah, stopping in Cedar City to visit SUU's campus.  It was a QUICK two day trip - CRAZY !!! 

 

And it's OVER :(

Beautiful day for a football game at SUU Stadium in Cedar City.  Tagg was still hurting, but came back to play in this his FINAL GAME in high school football. 

It just seemed like Morgan didn't play as well as they could have, and they did not win :(

Also, can't forget to mention that Thatcher was one of the BALL BOYS this year, with his friend McCrae Meibos.  I compiled a video of all of his work/fun on the sidelines this year.  Watch it here ! 

After all was said an done.   Tagg received this WELL DESERVED award.

And THEN at the Football Banquet, he received this prestigious award.
Again, so well deserved.  He was a true team leader who will remembered.

Football (sitting it out and healing up)

There have been some beautiful nights of football, and we've been to them all......
But it's rough not having our favorite #50 out there playing.
We've played Union (Homecoming week), and Ben Lomond, and Ogden (last week) and they were such lopsided scores, that they pulled the 1st Defense early.  They weren't too hard to miss playing in (for Tagg).  But the Grantsville game, where they REALLY could have used him, HURT :(
Morgan still won, but it wasn't pretty. 

 

He's walked out every game as one of the Captains ...............
The first game (Union) he was on crutches. 

And he's there on the sidelines, looking at video, and encouraging his friends.

Ogden's game last week was especially pretty at sunset. 

But it's still pretty lonely on the sidelines, unable to play.  Good thing he has Thatcher (ball boy) to cheer him up.   
Good news though - he's going to be playing this week on Wednesday the 15th against Logan.  He'll wear a knee brace, and even though we are thrilled he will be back in the game, I think we will all be on pins and needles, hoping he doesn't re-injure his knee.  Fingers Crossed !!!!!
