We got all of iris dug out

Tomatoes planted

Flower bed spruced up with logs from the back of the garden that no one wanted.  I had Roger cut them up with THIS in mind. 

Sprinklers up and going, making the lawn green. Nice sunsets. 

Hiding pipes away in the barn, beginning to get shop cleaned out. 

Trailers moved to our barn yard so the back of the shop looks like...........

THIS !!!  In preparation for the BIG DAY 

Visiting with our good friends, who did a little clean up at their place also.  

I take selfies of us whenever I can.  Rog is smiling more in his old age ! 

We got us a NEW Ranger.  Pretty  happy about that :) 

I should have taken an after picture.  We are staining and painting, getting ready for the BIG DAY 

Staining the backdrop (for the BIG DAY) while listening to Project Hail Mary for the umpteenth time. 

Fixing the bottom of the swing.  Bought outdoor fabric, did alot of measuring, sewed it up, added grommets, and tied on swing with paracord.  It was  JOINT effort, with not too much swearing. 

TA DAH! !!

Zac had to cover an opening in the tree with wire mesh so the birds wouldn't make a $&#^@* mess on the platform and slide.  Seems to have worked !! 

 

Ranger Rides

Last Saturday, we took a ride with Landon and Kacey and kids.    It was a beautiful Day, temperature just right..........but PLENTY Dusty !!  It was a wonderful day to be with our family.

When we got as far as we went - you could see our house through the trees.  It is fun to pick out landmarks, from so far away.  

These guys and their faces :)    I made sandwiches, and they brought chips, and the jello I brought was completely melted, but they enjoyed the CHEESE BALLS, and drinks, and licorice, and OREOS!!  YEAH !!!

See what I mean about DUSTY ??  It was crazy crazy dusty. 

On the ride out - wow Grandpa Roger, is that a hint of a smile?  I told Payson he reminded me of ME when I was a kid.  Sometimes I could NOT take a serious picture.  

Don't mind my "pained" face.  I think the  DUST was in my eyes.........   See, Roger D. is doing it too.  Thank goodness Bright had goggles. 

When we got home, Rog and Landon sprayed out the Rangers, while Bright loved on Lucky. 

Someone needs a SHOWER

Now these guys on the other hand, went a DIFFERENT direction for their Ranger Ride........and they encountered MUD AND SNOW........

It was a little chilly - and the coats came in handy. 

Zac's smile says it all - it was a FUN DAY !   They rode up Chalk Creek, and tried to make it to Whitney Reservoir with some co-workers/friends.  

They got stuck MULTIPLE times, and had to be winched here and there.  

The next day, our Ranger was having problems, and didn't want to run........guess we worked it too hard (haha) - nothing that Zac (or MV Polaris) can't fix !!

China Town Adventure

Last Saturday we had the chance to visit China Town, courtesy ot Steve Peterson.  We piled into two rangers (Zac's and ours)
Treyson and Dillon (Jarrett's son) rode in the back of Zac's

Zac, CJ and Rex, and Blakeley, Tagg and Kacey rode in Zac's ranger

Roger and I took the littles with us in the backseat of ours. 

We went a different way than we had in 2010.
We left directly from Croydon Town.

Rog wasn't feeling the best, but he was a trooper for sure.

We changed places - then it was Nanny Nanny Boo Boo being sung by the littles, as they turned to watch the others in the ranger behind.

The roads were SO NICE

A brand new LAY DOWN fence had been put up for cow control.  It was sure pretty (this coming from appreciative fench builders that we are ;)

It was so cold up on top by Chinatown, that we didn't stay too long, but bundled back up and headed down.  

This girlie sat up with me all bundled up for the ride out. 

Roger - hangin' in there with a bad stomach ache.  Little did we know at this point that he would be in the Emergency Room 24 hours later !!
