Angel's Landing

See that big rock in the background?  That is Angel's Landing, and Landon has been threatening to hike it for years !  I told him to never tell me when he was going to do it, only to let me know when IT WAS DONE. 

 

Landon and Payson, Dayton, Hayden, Braxton, and Blake hiked it.  See the chains?  Yea, that is what you hold on to so you don't plummet to your death !!

So happy they made it up and down safely.

Program and Baseball and Birthday

Bexlee performed in the 2nd grade musical program.

Then we headed to Hurricane and St. George for Payson's baseball games.   While we were there, we stopped at Hobby Lobby to get THIS GIRL some presents for her 8th birthday that was coming up.

I took the girls to Spilsbury Mortuary to see the awesome statue there.
I explained to them that when we die in old age, we live in heaven with our Savior in our PRIME, as represented by this statue. They wanted to know what PRIME was.  I told them about their mom and dad's age (30's).

Fall Baseball

Pays' Venom Competition Team is playing baseball at the 4th street park in Ogden on Wednesdays.  Double headers, starting at 5:30pm.  We've been happy to get down to see some of his games. 

 

This little cutie is usually there, and has so much fun with her friends.

Beautiful evening for some baseball at the 4th Street Complex on Wall Avenue in Ogden.  Payson's Venom competition team played Dominicana.  They lost, but it baseball, so it was fun !

Kings Peak Hike

On July 25th and 26th and 27th - These two were supposed to hike Kings Peak.  The highest point in Utah.  But then plans changed.

See that mountain in the very middle, in the far background?  That's King's Peak.  See Payson in the foreground?  After he and Landon and Kacey and the other hiked into "base camp" on Friday, in preparation for Saturday's summit, Pays and Lando got sick with back colds, so they ended up staying back at "basecamp" while the others went ahead with the hike.

Payson broke his wrist at Young Men's camp :(
He fell off a zip line.
It looks like he needs to wait a week or two before casting, to let the swelling go down, and then be in a cast for 4-6 weeks.  He will not need surgery.

We are sorry he won't get to mow with Roger and the boys :(

Baseball has started !

 

We've got three grandkids playing

Thatcher is playing for Morgan's recreation team.  Their first game was in Park City.  Thatcher is the catcher.  Here's a video of some of his plays 

Payson plays competition baseball, his team is Venom, based out of Farmington.  Here's a video of a few of his hits.

Payson - Play ball !!

Payson (far left) - made the baseball team at Mountain View Junior High
His games are Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the team is playing pretty good.
We wish he could get more playing time, but it will come, and he's keeping a good attitude. 

 

He's also on the Venom competition team, and the other night the team were the Champions.......... thanks to our boy !!  Watch the video here !!

Payson loves Baseball :)

The first day they played was Payson's 13th birthday.
His tooth was hurting when he drank water, or the cold air blew on it.
They took him to the dentist after his first two games on Friday. 

He is an awesome catcher, just like his dad ! 

We love love love to watch him play :) 

 

Looked alot better the 2nd day. 

We left after the first game on Saturday, dang it we missed his double.
Landon said, "He ripped a double in the gap that the outfielders couldn't get to.  Rolled to the fence.  He was stoked!"
