The following paragraph was written on Strider's Blog Report of the OV50 Zac Rich was tangling with his first 50 miler, and fought hard all day even when his stomach didn't want to cooperate. It's so hard to run when the stomach isn't settled; even veteran ultra runners will curl up and cry until the misery goes away, but Zac stayed strong (and upright) and kept moving forward. Zac's will to survive earned himself a 4th overall and men's 3rd place finish. Zac wins the coldest nipples award too as his shirt was off even when it was dark and 34 degrees ;-) Too funny ! Actually Zac didn't take his shirt off until about 8:30 am in Eden (that's what he's getting ready to do in the picture above), and it wasn't dark........it MAY have been 34 degrees though :) |
