Memories - Old Phones

All you had to do was dial "9" in Morgan (didn't need the 82), then the number.  I don't know if I handed this to one of my grandkids, that they would even know what to do with it.  
I can still remember numbers from when I was little
Grandma Dickson's was 9-3940 (I think)
Grandma Tonks?  - I guess I've forgotten that one.....
Aunt Pam's was 9-6640
Mom and Dad used to have a handset just like the one pictured, except theirs was olive green (1970'2 olive green, haha).  They had it in their bedroom.
I don't remember party lines (that was before my day), but there was no call-waiting, just a busy signal if someone was on the phone, and if you didn't want to be bothered, just leave it off the hook !
There was usually a LONG LONG chord on the main phone, but even then, you didn't get to far from the wall mount.

Someone LOVES to READ !!

Payson has finished ALL of the Harry Potter books............what are there?  8 - 9?  And they are HUGE books.  Landon loves to read them, and we bought him each book as it came out, and Payson has loved them.  Landon made it fun, and after each book was completed, they would watch the movie that went along with it.  Now they are finished, Payson has started on a new series (see in picture).  I'm so glad he loves to read!   I have had SUCH enjoyment in my life because of reading.  Way to go Payson !!!

I bet my grandkids (and maybe my kids) have no idea what this is.........
Oh how I loved the library, and reading books.  This is how you found which book you wanted to read, or what subject you needed to look up.  Those were the good old days.
When I was in 3rd? grade I won the Summer Reading Contest.  I think I read over 150+ books.  Reading has always been a favorite of mine. 

Odds and Ends in January

Wrestling continues......... we have enjoyed some exciting tournaments. 

Baby Cash is getting plenty of LOVE in Arizona.

Our Brother-in-law, Bruce Frost passed away on January 14th.  It's been 7 1/2 years since Linda died.  I bet that reunion was SWEET.  We will miss him, but know that he is happier and healthier than he was here on earth.  

It's always fun to get pics from the grandkids on their phones !  Here is Thatcher with some friends.  I got a text from Bright last night, just a short sweet "I Love You".  Makes our days !!! 

Landon and Kacey and kids were able to go to Pirate Island, one of Shonduras creations.  They had a great time there, and got to meet Adley !!

This is from the Richardson Memorial in Brigham City.  
Tonight is the last match at home, then to Mountain Crest tournament tomorrow, then Divisionals next weekend in Richfield, and hopefully STATE mid February.  It's been a great season.

This was the sunrise at our house on the morning of January 3rd.  Little did we know that it would take 2 1/2 days of labor in Arizona to get...............

New Year's Day dawned bright and sunny, so we took to the snow.  Landon and Kacey and kids went to Trapper's Loop with friends from their neighborhood.  They had a great time.
