3 years ago today

It was a stormy day, and I took this picture as we heading down to the hospital.
I remember being overwhelmed at this little one's birth, and crying on the way down.  I don't know why, I never did this with any of my other grandchildren.  Maybe I knew something deep down inside would be special about this little one. 

So so sweet..................

Beautiful Day at the Cemetery

Tagg and Thatcher came with me up to the cemetery.  We took the blower, and proceeded to clean all of the dead grass off the graves.  We then decorated some of them for fall.  Tenzin's was first.  His anniversary of birth, short sweet life, and death are coming up soon.  A bittersweet time.  Hard to believe that three years have passed by so quickly.  

Then we moved on to Linda's

Some more GREAT GREAT grandparents..........my Grandpa and Grandma Dickson (with the chickens) as my kids used to call them.  They died in 1995.  Where does the time go?

I believe it gave them pause to see their mom's name on the back.

And finally over to Grandpa Ben's
Today (October 12th) was Ben and Lu's anniversary.
The day was beautiful and warm, and we had such a good time walking around, cleaning, decorating, and talking about those who have passed on.  It will be a wonderful day when we will be with them all again. 

Then we grabbed some shakes at J's (and a F'real for Thatch at Nebco), then called CJ and asked her to locate (with her smart phone) where THE YARD MASTER was...........we tracked them down at Aunt Barbara's where they were busy blowing out her sprinkling system.    We took them a drink from Nebco.  They got alot done yesterday. 

End of September

Grandparents Day - We took Thatch to J's Drive Inn
He had a cheeseburger with LOTS of pickles and mayo (no ketchup or mustard)
AND...........I ran next door to Nebco to get him a F'real.
Had to have the girl working at Nebco show this old lady how to make a F'real !

Sod came, and we had it layed in less than 2 hours
Lots of HARD workers (and watchers :)

We also sodded our front flower bed, which is NO MORE.........

Football is over - both Tagg and Treyson were beat out of the playoffs.

Grandma Ben and I went down to see Payson and Brightyn in their Primary Program.  They both did so well. 

Then I brought the  two oldest back with me, and we went and picked up Thatcher, and went to visit my friend, Phyllis Waldron at the Family Tree.  The kids thought she was pretty neat !  They couldn't believe she was 97 year old.  When we left, they kept commenting, that she was the nicest old lady they had ever seen (met).  Then they had to make sure that they clarified to me, that THEIR great grandparents were REALLY the nicest, THEN Phyllis.  

The boys had a fun game of UNO...........

She also helped make a birthday card for Treyson for his birthday.  Don't know how many other 14 years old boys were lucky enough to get a UNICORN birthday card ! 

Payson's last FLAG football game was fun to watch, even though we just about FROZE. 

Bexlee and Bright didn't seem to mind the cold at all.  They are not related to their mom !  haha

Tagg and Thatcher have moved in together and Zac is hard at work with CJ's latest request. 

Mom and Dad got a railing installed.  This should help when mom has her hip replacement.
I'm glad they opted to do this, with a little encouragement from us. 

Newest addition - a SWEEPER.  Drove all the way to Garland to pick it up.  It fits on the front of the Grasshopper.  It will brush off snow, and more importantly, should help with cleanup in the spring down at the Property. 

Rog and Zac are getting busy with sprinkler line "blow outs".  They have many lined up to do, and the compressor we bought last year is still working like a charm !!  Zac is getting it painted.  Looks like  Halloween compressor right now :)

Treyson is now 14 ! 

Zac just turned 38 - he is 20 years younger than me. hard to believe he is almost TWICE as old as I was when I had him.  My how time FLIES !!!

Cam and Josiah had a great time at Homecoming last weekend. 

Oh to be young and in love again :) 

Annual Harvest (Pumpkin) Party

It's that time of year.......the garden is getting put to bed.

We all gathered in the garden.  The day was sunny and warm.
It was time to harvest the SQUASH and PUMPKINS

SO MUCH FUN !

Pays had his snippers, and was going to town.  Snipping the pumpkins off the vines.
It's best to use the snippers, so you have a good stem. 

We had such good helpers !
Thanks to all who came.  Sure wish our Arizona family could be here too.
Bexlee is in the car sleeping, and Kacey is keeping watch on her. 

Time for dinner !

Funny Story - Bright asked Grandma Ben about the wrinkles on her face........then proceeded to tell her she was so old she might die.............then reassured her that it  would be okay, because then she could see Grandpa Ben.
