Airport Reunion - so fun !

These three monkeys were hard to keep contained until we went on a "few" secret missions.....

I think they will get along really well.  Payson was so excited to see everyone, especially the Grandpa's.  Treyson came up to me and said, he is SUCH a good talker !?!?

Guess who is coming home today?
They will be at the airport in SLC at 1pm
Landon will be here until July 6th
Kacey and kids will stay till August 3rd.

Rain and Blow out !

Last Thursday night at the ball-park (or should I saw soccer field) Treyson's game had only been going an inning or two.  We were all sitting there relaxing, chomping on "fish" :)

You could see the storm clouds rolling in from the west..........

Then it HIT!!  First came the big winds...........then the dirty rain. 

These guys had ridden their bikes over !!  They tried to bike home, but it was a disaster.  They ended up piling in our car.  Crazy night !!

Father's Day

Who's this cute little boy ? He's my Dad, in the mid 1940's.  I asked him what all of the wood was all around him, and he said it was when his parents (Grandpa and Grandma Dickson) were turning the attic into bedrooms in the upstairs at the house. 

Here he is at about 2 years old (I think).  He is such a cute little blonde thing.

Dad always had a dog around the house as a kid. 

Here he is in 7th grade.  I think Devin (Mark's son) looks alot like him. 

He was/is a good Dad.  He always wanted us to be happy.  Here we are (Erika and I) with him in the snow in about 1965-66.  We lived in a little pink house where Tom Birt lives now, across from the Middle School. 

Here he is in high school.  No wonder my mom fell in love :)

I love my Dad very much. He takes such good care of all of us, and works so hard (and always has) to provide for us. His thoughts and actions are always for his family. He has concern for each one of us. He works so hard in his garden, so that we can enjoy the wonderful results. He worries about us, and wants us to be happy and safe. He and mom have worked so hard on The Property, a wonderful wonderful legacy for our family to enjoy.

We love you Dad !!  Thank you doesn't seem enough to say.  We will continue to show our love to you, by helping out where we can, and lightening your load, and showing love for one another - after all, that's what it's all about, right?


And now for Ben - Roger's Dad.

And here he is during the 1940's when he was in the war.   A good-looking cuss.....those bushy eyebrows he passed along to someone I know ! 

Ben is............a tease :)  That would be my first memory of him, when he sold me a pair of wranglers at Valley Implement in the mid 1970's.  He gave me a bad time then, BEFORE either one of us knew I would one day marry his son !  

Ben is supportive, and concerned for his family.  He is interested in our lives, and what we are up to. He always asks about our boys, and that "girl" (Amanda) down there.........(in AZ:).  

Love you Ben !!  Keep on smiling !

Utah Valley Marathon for the FOURTH time !

Zac and CJ took the older boys down last night to sleepover at the Marriott Hotel.  They saw "How to Train Your Dragon 2" before hitting the sack.  Zac was up at 2am to catch the bus at 3am.  The race started at 6am in Wallsburg.  We passed him at about mile marker 15 in Provo Canyon, as we travelled down with Thatcher.  We picked up McDonald's breakfast for everyone.  Then it was wait...............

and wait..................

and wait...................

It was a little chilly at times.

At 9:50 am (about 20 minutes overdue) - here he comes !!!

It was a rough one.  His legs were bothering him quite a bit, and as always, he felt nauseous afterwards.

We headed over to the bounce toys while he got a massage, and some food in the runner's area.
