June 3, 1988

22 years ago today, my sister Tonya was killed in a car accident.

She had just graduated from Morgan High School one week earlier.
I was 8 months pregnant with Landon.
Mark was on his mission in Japan.
Tonya would have been FORTY.YEARS.OLD this year.....
Hard to believe the years have passed by so quickly.


This picture was taken in 1971, our first family picture with the 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Tonya is the baby of our family.


This is our last family picture taken together, just before Mark left on his mission in August 1987. I'm glad Families Are Forever. It IS TRUE !

What a fun day

I took so many pics that my camera ran out of space. Here are some that I particularly loved

These three spent the WHOLE day, running around and having fun.
They were all smiles and laughing, and Treyson was SO entertained.
Thank you so much Brian and Colton for loving him, and playing with him.
You made his day.

Now this little guy was another matter.
He just about ran his mom ragged, as she chased him around to make sure he didn't go near the creek, which was running VERY high.

The 3 older teenagers, Lance, Tiana and Thea had a great time on the swing. We are going to miss Thea, as she will head back to Germany this week. It has been a wonderful experience for the Bettinson's and our family having her here for the past school year. We love you Thea !

Grandpa and Grandma Rich had lunch and relaxed by the fire for awhile. I'm so glad they came. We love to have them "crash" :) our party - anytime LuAnn !! Love YA !!

Zac tackled the massive logjam in the creek. Last year, the irrigation company didn't remove their dam, and it was a mess. He worked on it for about an hour, and the creek dropped 1 and 1/2 FEET - no lie. It was amazing.

Roger D. was our cook as usual, then he had to respond to an emergency at the bakery, and off he went :( Not a fun Memorial Day weekend for him.......he worked EVERY DAY :(

Surprise Surprise !!
Mrs. Phelps (now Ashby), our 1st grade teacher was lured by Erika, from the South Morgan Cemetery, and came to the Property for a short visit.
She is related through the Dickson line, and was Roger's and mine and Erika's first grade teacher at Morgan Elementary. It was sure great to see her !

Forget what I said about the Pouty Face - when this little one smiles and "cheeses" it up, it is beautiful to see. We sure love him, pouts and all.

Just a swingin'........

Unexpected Visit

Later one night this past week, we heard little footsteps coming from the back door. In comes two little grandsons in their jammies for a visit. It was a good surprise. Of course they couldn't leave with a "nana".

A Sight for Sore Eyes

What is that saying? The sign of a clean house/desk, is a sign of a sick mind? Every year at this time (at least for the last 25 years), my work should be DONE. As evidenced by my desk, this is about as clean as it gets. It is a great feeling once again. Thanks to all of my co-workers who help me with this. I couldn't do it without you! Now we start on NEXT year :)

Hike to the "M"

We received a phone call last Monday night. Zac was on the line, breathing HARD. "Get dad's binoculars and look out your back window", he said. Then he put Treyson on the line, "Drawhma, we are hiking to the M !"

Sure enough, we could see the speck of white, which was CJ's shirt. Zac was wearing red, so it was harder to see. Zac carried Tagg on his shoulders, CJ carried Dorkey. Treyson plodded along, and a great time was had by all :)

Now they will be 29 and 22 this year.
Roger was.........and will be........? Wait a minute, I can't do math that high :)

Skateland Birthday Party

Skateland is a fun place, not too far from Manda and Cam's home.
They sure put on a party for birthday kids.
