The Living Christ - my participation, such a blessing.

I was blessed to be involved with this presentation
I'm there with the Altos
We sang wonderful wonderful songs
Look closely - you will see the crown of thorns, the nails and mallet, the whip, and the empty tomb.
I'm sitting under the arrow - next to one of my best friends, Sherilee Olson
Brother Allen was our conductor - he was magnificent.

I had the opportunity to participate in the choir for the presentation of the Living Christ a musical tribute to our Savior. We have practiced for the past few weeks and it was a two night event the last 2 days.  It was the most wonderful experience, the thing with the choir of that magnitude I have never done before,  led by brother Steve Allen who is such a remarkable person and singing the beautiful songs it was just a really great experience, I'm glad I was able to take advantage of.

The reason I really wanted to do this was because of my love for the document, The Living Christ, which I memorized a few years ago and which this past Christmas I put together a book with the words and pictures. I just really wanted to be a part of this because I knew that if I didn't I would regret it.  I remember years ago in the 1980's going down to the old Tabernacle on Temple Square and listening to my mom and others, other women of the Morgan Utah State who had been invited to participate in a choir.  It must have been for a woman's conference. And I remember feeling regret that I had not taken the opportunity and paid the price to be in this concert and I vowed then that if I ever had the chance to do something like this again that I would do it and I'm so glad that I did.
I especially appreciated the fact that Roger came to support me (bringing Mom and LuAnn) , and I'm so glad that Zac and CJ were able to bring their boys on the second night and also support me, I was surprised that they came and I so much appreciated it. It was a sacrifice for them, and  I'm the recipient of that love that they show to me and the support they gave to me and  I just can't express how much it meant to me.   Zach I think especially, for some reason which I still cannot fathom, led out and made sure that they were there and I will never forget that. Landon was in Las Vegas, and I didn't expect Kacey to bring the three little kids up all by herself, so I didn't even mention it to her,  but I was so grateful and blessed to be a part of this.

It is a wonderful thing to participating in the days leading up to Easter where we celebrate His sacrifice for us and His resurrection. I'm so grateful for the sacrifice and I've been reading in the scriptures about the last week of His life and through the Come Follow Me program, reading every morning and I just wanted to come to know my Savior more and more, and I know that He loves me and I just want to do everything I can to be able to return to Him.

Catch Up (sometimes it seems that is all I do)

The baby chicks are GROWING
Building a wall............. it begins.
Roger D. isn't here......CJ has to step in (haha)
It was an EXPERIENCE, that's for sure.
Got the PEAS planted on April 13th (I think)
They are slowly peaking their heads through the soil.
Finally getting at crafts from Christmas
An EXPERIMENT........can we get an EGG to FLOAT??
Yes we can !!!
More wall building...............
Always something going on.
It's fun to work together as a family.
Another project - Bird house !!
Roger's mower...........throwing up !!
I said, "Can't you at least do that on the GRASS?"

Who's that young buck in FRONT??
Kings Peak (High Uintahs) Scout trip - 2004
Love to see old pics I didn't have.  This one was given to me by Amanda Thackeray.  She found it as she was cleaning out things.  So glad she took the time, and didn't just toss it.
This is the desk that Zac built for Thatcher's gymnastics office.  Didn't it turn out great ??
We helped him build some walls down there over the Easter weekend.  The boys has such a great time playing on all of the trampolines, and such in a huge empty gym while we worked.  They worked too - it was a TEAM EFFORT.
Someone needs a HAIRCUT :)
And the wall goes on.......................
Mom hurt her wrist pretty badly in a fall.
It's not broke, but it sure hurts, and the doctor put her in a splint thing.
She will have to have physical therapy probably.
Back to the chickens...........
And the chicken farmer...........

FUN times, trying to get them back in the top part of the coop (where it's warm/there is food and water), when they can't figure it out by themselves.   Thank goodness it doesn't take them long to learn.  Thank goodness Roger is a good chicken farmer :)
Cool Round Valley morning - time to clean ditch !
The Rich bunch is ready to go.
Good job DONE !!  Only took about 2 hours with all of the help.
The boys came away with a 5 GALLON BUCKET full of balls that they found.
Michael (far right) my cousin, always gives the boys such a bad time.  He is SUCH a tease.  He sure reminds me of his dad Uncle Larry, who used to give ME a bad time.  When I told the boys that his dad (Uncle Larry) had died when Michael was younger than Thatcher, it really made them think (and feel a little sad).  We take so many things for granted.
Love my cousins !  Richard, Michael and "quiet" Troy were there this morning.
Then it was DOWN to see Payson play some BALL !!

First base this time.  They move him around pretty good, and that's a good thing.  He really likes it, and oh how we miss the days when Landon played.  FUN TIMES :)
Then back for some more garden planting.  This time it's tomatoes.
Trying something different this years with the walls of water.
We are pretty much doing the garden this year, with Dad's health declining.  Glad to step in.
Started the burn pile on fire (before the fire season closes)
This was an earlier picture - so much clean up this year.  Roger and Zac worked hardest (and mostly alone).
Easter pic for BRIGHT
And BEX
And PAYSON !!
Cute Easter pic from the RICHS
Thatcher wasn't feeling well, and TALON is a good buddy.
Zac and CJ's boys have had a lot of sickness this Spring.  Alot of school missed.
Sure hope things improve.
Payson ran in some kind of Sports Run at his Elementary School.  We were able to go down last year and support him, but couldn't make it this year.   There he goes !!
Look at those RED CHEEKS !!
35 laps !!  - I can't remember, at least 2+miles I think.
Good Job Pays !!
Landon had 4 teeth removed on April 26th.
Poor guy........
Cam's post on Instagram about her MOM - Love it !!
Tagg and CJ went to the Zoo together ALONE
They had a great time.
More baseball for PAYS............
Not good - HIT BY PITCH !!

And that about wraps April up..........I'll try to do better in May, but I'm not promising anything.  It's crazy at my work, and I'm scrambling to get my Assessment Roll complete this year.   Crazy life we lead.  Read the Book of Mormon !!  I calms the crazy, I promise :)
