Crazy kids !

Payson had a super hero day at Preschool - It was a huge success !  Great job Captain America and Spidy :)
Someone is learning to use the potty !  Yea Payson  :)
It is still hit and miss, but things are progressing nicely.
Krispy Kreme came to Bacolod !
When we went over there last November, there were people boarding the plane from Manila to Bacolod, and they were literally carrying boxes of Krispy Kreme's home as their only carryons.   A store finally opened up recently in Bacolod, and of course our gang tried them out :)
Yummy Baby
This boy needs a haircut !!
Lovin' his new underpants :)
To mark the 100th day of school, many of the kids dressed up like 100 year old people.  Tagg "ROCKED" the look.  Reminds me of Landon's portrayal of Cesar' on Halloween 2013.  Yes, that is a buzzed head on top.  Too funny !
Treyson has been going to a Wizarding class aka Harry Potter class for the past few Wednesdays after school with the 4-H clubs.  This time he made a "snitch" (the little golden ball that they chase in Quidditch match) and some potions....  He's having a great time doing this, and it's a fun treat that he stops by on his way home to show off his new creations.

Making Butter with Vicki !

Our Snowmobile "girl" gang met at Rachel Ray's ;)  to see how to make butter and have lunch.   I thought we would each have a little bottle, and be shaking them (like we did in school).  Boy was I wrong !
Vicki poured one quart of cream (that she had skimmed off of two gallons of raw milk) into her Bosch Mixer, turned it on high, and that was the shaking !  So Easy !

After the butter separated from the whey (that's what they call the left over cream), she spooned it out of the mixer.

Then she had to WASH IT ! in ice water......I had no idea that this would have to happen.  Apparently it is very important to get all of the whey OUT of the butter, so it won't go rancid.
She even scooped and pressed it together, squeezing out the excess whey.
Then Vanna (I mean Janene:), added 1/2 tsp. of salt to the butter which Vicki had spread out on a plate, and then Vicki kneaded it just like you would playdoh.

Wendy's beautiful whole wheat bread (homemade of course) and the homemade butter - so yummy.
We finished up with salad, clam chowder and raw milk (or water) for our lunch.  It was delicious.  Thanks Vicki !  I was great to see everyone, and enjoy each other's company.

Last days of January.......

The Outhouse is buttoned up nice and tight.  The warmer weather has resulted in muddy muddy ground, so that is what the pieces of plywood are down for.
Rog and Zac and Dad got the sheetrock all up, and it is in the process of being taped
We were able to pick up a stainless steel counter with a sink for use in the storage part of the building.   It will work great !
Saturday morning was really misty in Morgan.  Got this great shot !
Later in the day, it was so nice and warm at the property.  We lit the firepit on fire, and sat around basking in the sunlight.
Beautiful !
Looking North
He had a stick and was having a grand time shooting everyone
There Tagg is - dead on the ground :)

We walked back and forth from the house to the property a couple of times.  It was pretty muddy, so we had to walk on the grass.
Grandma fixed us lunch of barbeque, and then we relaxed a little bit.
Slap Jack is the new game of choice.
We helped take down the Christmas lights, and Zac removed a few bees nests
Then we went home and loaded up the little goats to take down to Prescotts
Hopefully they will get bred quickly, so that we will have new babies when Manda and Cam and family come in July.
We also had the chance to get this FREE llama......but alas, I was the only one who really wanted him...... and so we won't be getting him.
