What our Saturday Looked Like

Legacy Events Center in Farmington - I froze.....  If you look really closely, you can see Rog and CJ and the boys on the far side of the building. 

Tagg wrestled, and got his fanny handed to him three times - three pins. 

He has no interest in learning at this point.  Maybe he is a little too young.  He has fun though, and I love him and hug him, and tell him good job, and he smiles :)

Treyson on the other hand, listens to Grandpa Roger.  I think it's the age difference. 

Treyson pinned two opponents, and they was pinned by the last opponent.  He took 2nd.  Way to go Treyson !

Back to the property, Zac and Grandpa and Grandma D had been busy !

Later that night we had everyone over for chicken noodle soup.  We also watched Payson and Brightyn while Kacey went to Ogden to the temple.  Brightyn wasn't feeling the best.  She sure likes the men - I think she misses her daddy.  Thank goodness he'll be here on Friday !!  Yeah !!

Oh What Fun.............two little boys and Grandma

Payson came up yesterday while his mom went to lunch with friends.  He loves the piano, and will sit and gently play the keys.   It went well until he got his little fingers caught in the cover (that closes), then there were a few tears.   See the Christmas books on the piano?  I've got a few this year, and by far, the favorite (not a Christmas one), is One Little Match.  I bet I have read this a dozen or more times to both Payson and Thatcher.  The pictures are beautiful, and are actually illustrated by a fellow classmate of mine at Morgan High, Dan Burr who is now famous for his art, and lives in Idaho.  

Thatcher showed up a short while later while his mom went with friends to wrap Christmas presents.  I vacuumed the house while they ran around and had fun.  While doing this, I found THIS !  It was under my kitchen sink.  YUCK !!  Of course, the boys came running when I screamed, and they were ALL SORTS of fascinated with it.  Payson tried to touch it several times (I didn't let him), but of course I just had to get this picture.  You know me ;)

We took the mouse outside to the garbage, and it was SO WARM !   The boys ran and played, and went back and forth !  They have so much energy.   Payson is fascinated with the goats, and lets them nibble on his fingers, and he just giggles and squeals.   

Then they got on the scooters.  Thatcher has been around them for a couple of years now, and he's a pro.  Payson is just getting started, and he was pretty cautious, and didn't quite get the hang of it, but then suddenly it "clicked", and he was doing pretty good !

After a while we went back in the house and I made a BEAR DEN for them with blankets over the kitchen table.  Have you seen any cuter bears than this?  

I pretended to be a MEAN TIGER, and got down to get them.  As you can see, Thatch is all smiles, while Payson would get this scared look in his eyes, and say all serious, "Be nice Toger".  It was so cute.  It is fun to see them interact with each other, and their different personalities.   I loved yesterday.  Nothing beats being a Grandma.

We are working feverishly (between regular work) to get the roof on the OUTHOUSE before it snows tomorrow.  We might not make it, but we have a good start !

Pays was a little nervous that Kacey was going to leave him, but he soon warmed up :)

Oct-Dec - Building the Building

October it was just being planned

It's been nice that the weather has cooperated 

November - 1/2 way "rough" finished - then the cold hit,,,,,,,,,,

December - now we can get to work on the FINISH - the things WE (by this I mean Zac of course) can do.  We don't have to wait on excavation, cement, or cinderblock contractors.

This is going to be great !  
Mom has given it a new name - THE OUTHOUSE !

Crazy days with Crazy little boys

Haven't these days been beautiful ?  I can't believe it's December :)
Friday, we watched Thatcher while CJ headed to Ogden to help Lindsey, and Kacey came up with Skylee and Payson and Brightyn.  We had pizza with lunch, and invited the grandparents.   Afterwards we went out to visit the animals.

Then is was time to feed the chickens !

THEN - they wanted to jump on the trampoline..........
They were quite confused :)

Grandpa decided it was time to clean out the chicken coop - he had some VERY interested onlookers......and then suddenly he turned into a MEAN chicken !?!  (see video below)

Afterwards, the little ones filled the boxes back up with shavings.  It was a tough job, as evidenced by the tongue between Thatcher's teeth ;)

On Saturday, Grandpa Roger watched Tagg and Treyson while CJ and I took Thatcher and met all of the other RICH woman at Olive Garden for the December birthdays.   When we came home, Tagg had drawn a picture of Grandpa Roger.  I personally think he looks like PAPA SMURF !

We brought home OLAF !   That is what happens when you go to Costco with a grandkid, and just can't say NO!   Olaf will live under Grandma's Christmas tree, as part of her Christmas Decorations. 

Later, the kids went over to HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS - and Thatcher got OLAF on his FACE !

And of course Tagg got a SHARK biting his eyeball........go figure !

Sure love the days spent with our grandkids.
Being a grandparent is the BEST !
