Super Saturday

Treyson played his last game today.  He made his FIRST basket!  We are so proud of him.  He is a good teammate, very kind and sharing.  He is a lovable kid, that's for sure. 

We celebrated with Grandma's monthly birthday luncheon at Zupas.  Nikki was the birthday girl.  Cedar was there, and Brenda, and me and CJ and Zac and Thatcher.  Thatcher moved from plate to plate, sampling a little here and a little there.  That boy sure loves food - all kinds.  He especially liked the raspberries and blueberries from my salad.

Odds and Ends on Valentines Day.................

Cousins - Kellen and Brightyn
Brightyn is 5 weeks old now,  I think Kellen is about 6 weeks older than she is

I guess the two babies are a little nervous around this almost 2 year old rambunctiousness.............is that a word?

My first thought when seeing this picture, was where is the road?  Do you just drive on the grass to your house?  But I just believe it is running parallel to the house, and it must just be low enough that you can't see it in picture.
This is our Philippine Gang's home in Bacolod.

Roger D made this homemade macaroni and cheese dish the other night.  He got the recipe from Bryant at work (who had brought some to share), and he shopped for all of the ingredients, and made it entirely himself.  He had some, and shared the rest with Zac and CJ and kids.  We haven't heard if they liked it or not.  I had a bite, and it was yummy.  I think anything made with VELVEETA would be yummy, right?

Thatch and CJ came by work yesterday.  I think he made the rounds up and down the halls, visiting everyone.  It was his birthday, so a big fuss was made by all :)

This is the cake that Zac and Treyson made for the Blue and Gold Banquet last night.  It was a Cowboy theme.  I haven't heard how it went, but the boys sure looked cute in their cowboy gear. 

They have moved the big boys BACK downstairs.  Three boys in one room upstairs was just not working.  Thatcher was keeping EVERYONE up at all hours.   They did separate the boys downstairs.

Before they used to be together, and there was always fighting about picking up their own things.  Now they can each keep their OWN room clean. 

Zac fixed up a built in closet in the main room downstairs, and now all of the toys have a place to be.  Great Job Zac !!

I'm totally stealing this picture from FB.  I guess Jordyn sent it to Grandma Carol.  Anyway, here is what Carol had to say about it.  I guess the whole thing went down on a facetime chat :)

Carol's post:  You seriously had to see the whole thing in action. Payson rides down the street on his motor powered motorcycle with 3 bows in his hair and his backpack on. Pulls his bike up the stairs to the front door and knocks to come into Jordyn's house. Comes in and asked to hold Kellin and puts a bow around Kellin's head so they can take a picture. Oh, and guess what the backpack is full of???? More bows ha ha ha ha

10 am - Monday
Happy Campers in SLC (except Pays who wanted DOWN to run around) just before going through security.  Little did they know what was to befall them................

They arrived in Seattle a short time later, had only a SHORT layover, and were to be on their way for the BIG flight at 1:10 pm Seattle time.

There were problems with the babies ticketing, and let's just say the NEXT 8 HOURS WERE HELL!!!!   They were all tired, including 2 year old Payson.  Landon was on the phone continually, trying to get it all sorted out.  FINALLY someone pulled their head out and knew what the heck should be happening. 

They ended up staying at the airport until 10:30 pm Monday night, and then Delta put them up in a hotel.  They flew out today (Tuesday) on time - 24 HOURS after they should have.

Now they are 7 hours into the 10 hour flight to Narita, Japan.  They will have a short lay over there, then fly 3-4? hours to Manila.  They should arrive there at about 7:15am OUR TIME (Wednesday morning), which is 10:15 PM in Manila (Wednesday night)

They will spend the "night" there in Manila and catch a flight to Bacolod on Thursday.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday...........

Payson's 2nd birthday was celebrated 27 days early

They are headed back to the Philippines today at 11am.  If they only complete their year contract they'll be home at the end of March.  If they extend for another year, they will be home for a visit (and to compete in Ragnar) in June.

Strangest thing our family has ever experienced.  14 days before his 2nd birthday, he disappears  goes in the bathroom, closes the door, takes off his diaper, climbs up on the toilet, and proceeds to evacuate his bowels (as Sheldon would say).  He's done it 3 times in two days!   I'm sure he'll appreciate this picture as he grows older :)  At least we didn't post it on FB :)
