Goodbye-Girl

Pancake Breakfast :) - whatever this girl wants.........

Except when she wants to stay........
and has to go.......
I wish I could have recorded everything Grandpa said to her.  It was awesome.  He always knows just that right things to say to make her feel better.

Goodbye Goats

Goodbye - Turkin and Turkey

Good-bye Shady

Good bye Miss Piggy, with one last scratch  on the softest part - behind the ears :)

Mt. Dew FREEZE at Taco Bell in Centerville - our usual stop on the way to the airport

This proves Grandpa will do just about anything for this girl.  It's a BIG hassle for him to go through security with his knee replacement, pocket full of change, hat off :(, big lace up shoes off :(, belt off...........but he does it :)

Sad faces (faked) - at this point, there are no tears, just sweet kisses good-bye till next time !  October can't come soon enough.  LOVE YOU CAM

Friday at the Fair and Rodeo

During the kids game, Home Depot provides projects to work on.  They had a great time building minature tool boxes.

Thatch dressed as a cowboy for the baby contest interview...... Looks like it was pretty ROUGH on him :)

Cam took 1st place on the summer squash we raided from Grandpa "D"'s garden

Also on the cucumbers

We saw Aunt Joni and JP and Trapper that morning.  They have a new baby !  Ridge Vance Porter was born just a few hours before this picture was taken.  Mom and baby are doing well.

We entered photographs, vegetables, flowers, and cookies, brownies, and caramels.  All in all, Camryn made $34.00 !  She was so happy and excited.  We'll have to do this again :)

Treyson met up with his NEW TEACHER for 2nd grade.  Mrs. Hammer - Yeah !!

Look at Thatcher's FACE !!  He looks a little bit sick at the idea of Tagg being transformed into THE HULK.....

It's so much fun being a Grandma !

Dee Dee (Diane Clark) had a reunion with some of her former baby sitting kids.  Bailey Venz, Treyson, Rylee, Reese (Diane's grand-daughter), and Camryn.

Thatcher spent about 30 minutes sitting with Grandpa and Grandma "D" helping to eat a scone, and drinking Coke.

He Loved The Fair

Ninja Man - Tagg
Poor Cam got her face painted, and the girl did SUCH a poor job.  We went right in and washed it off immediately.  Cam was supposed to be a BEAR?  Are you kidding me?  What happened to cute little butterflies on the cheek?

Lindey's girls just loved Cam.  They had a great time sitting with us at the rodeo.

Tonight, Cam got her own Rodeo Chinese plate, and she slicked that thing right up !

Ben and Lu - such a great picture

Camryn talked Grandma into scratching her arms............that girl LOVES to be pampered this way.  Has ever since she was a little girl.  I can't tell you how many arms, legs, and back I've scratched and rubbed these past two weeks.  Loved every minute of it :)

YEAH - Payson came to the Rodeo :)

During the Star Spangled Banner, he was SO EXCITED to see the horse galloping around :)

We had such a good evening at the Rodeo

LOVE THESE TWO BOYS!!

A Good time was had BY ALL :)

Demolition Derby 2013 - Wonderful !

Some of my favorite pics of the night.  I think we all enjoyed every minute.
We got there at 5:30 pm to save seats.  Silly us - left the umbrellas in the car.  When rain appeared imminent, we sent Rog and CJ for the umbrellas............they ALMOST made it back in time.  Man did it come down.  Most people were drowned rats !  All of our blankets were SOAKED.

Thatch got pretty wet, but he was a trooper

Grandpa Ben really loves Cam, and she sure loves him too.  They are always smiling at each other, and of course, there is quite a bit of TEASING going on :)

Poor Tagg was over on the Bouncy Toys when the rain/hail storm hit.  He was TOTALLY SOAKED, and then got lost and couldn't find us.  His mom totally forgot about him in the craziness.  Thank goodness Grandma Shirlee found him wandering by the Exhibit building.

Kroix, Trapper and JP were cute.  In this picture, they are turned looking at Camryn, who is feeding them her barbeque chips.  They were like little chipmunks!  Megan lasted for about 1/2 of the derby, and then she and Johnny headed to the hospital !  Baby Boy #3 will probably make an appearance tomorrow (Aug 2nd).

Brittney and family were there, and Cody and Jordyn came later.  It was fun to all sit together.

This picture was taken before the Derby started and everybody hadn't arrived yet.

Good thing Grandma got the Chinese plate !  She was a sweetie, and Camryn AND Thatcher got their fill of it too :)

Keysto and Kaley and kids enjoyed the Derby.  Don't know why I didn't get a picture with Joni and Kerry in it ?   It was a great evening.

Wednesday and ThursDAY................

Well, we made it through a night on the trampoline.  It was great falling asleep to the sound of Jim Wiscombe baling hay in Vern's field.  Heck, when he finished and drove the tractor past the trampoline (15' away?) - we were OUT and didn't even hear him :)

We did however hear them (teenage hay haulers) as they drove past to start loading up the hay the next morning :)

She slept LONG AND HARD :)

Later in the day we went over the the courthouse.  She found Grandpa Ben's name on the memorial.  She asked when WWII was, and I told her, "In the 1940's when Grandpa Ben was in his 20's", she could hardly believe he could be that young :)

Wednesday night we went over the ATV Rodeo and saw Payson.  Camryn sure loves the babies.

Grandma Ben and Cam

Yup - a blue snowcone !

Thursday we cleaned the house in the morning.
Cam was a big help.

I love clean floors !

I went and picked up the boys (while CJ cleaned HER floor :)  We checked out the animals, and they played on the bounce toys.

Of course they needed MORE snowcones :)
On our way home we stopped at the Rec Plex, and Kacey helped us out so much, and was able to get Treyson a bigger helmet.  He has started football, and WOW - this is a whole new experience for him.  Having a helmet the doesn't KILL YOUR HEAD, has improved practice for him 100%

We came home for a bit in the afternoon, and it started thundering and lightening.  Sitting on the front porch in a rainstorm is always fun.

Dancing in the rain is even MORE FUN !

Except when the rain turns to a hailing downpour !!  - YIKES !!

It soon quit, and CHOREGIRL did the chores, so that when Grandpa Roger came home we could head to the Demolition Derby................but that's a WHOLE OTHER POST !!
