Back in hospital.........

Thatcher is back at McKay Dee

Thatcher had jaundice before he left the hospital the first time, and he was sent home with lights. After a couple of days when he went back in for a checkup at one week old, his biliruben levels were lowered, and the doctor said to discontinue the lights. Now here we are a week and a half later, at his 2 1/2 week checkup, and when blood was drawn, the levels were EXTREMELY high. Right after CJ got home from the doctor, she received a phone call, and they wanted him back immediately, to be admitted to the pediatric unit (not NICU). That was about 2 o'clock this afternoon. He has been poked and prodded, blood drawn, IV fluids started, under the lights continuously, no breastmilk, and she can't even hold him to bottle feed the formula. He has little goggles of some sort, so his eyes will be okay as he is under the lights. They will know later tonight if his levels are dropping.

On a better note - Landon and Kacey were able to bring Payson home from the hospital today.  Gee, it would be nice to have these two boys in Morgan at the same time ! :)

Freese?!?

It appears an explanation is in order:

The St. Louis Cardinals or the "redbirds" as they are affectionately known around our house, have been Roger and Landon's team FOREVER.

They won the World Series this past October, thanks in no small part, to David Freese.

David Richard Freese (born April 28, 1983) is a third baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). For the Cardinals, Freese batted .545 with 12 hits in the 2011 National League Championship Series (NLCS) and set a MLB postseason record for RBIs in the 2011 World Series, earning the NLCS MVP Award, World Series MVP Award, and the Babe Ruth Award, naming him the MVP of the MLB postseason.

In Game 6 of the World Series, with Texas leading, 3 games to 2, Freese came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, with two out and two men on base. With a count of one ball and two strikes, Freese hit a two-run triple to tie the game and send it to extra innings. In the 11th inning, again with two strikes, Freese hit a game-winning lead-off, "walk-off", solo home-run to deep center field (420 feet), to send the World Series to its first Game 7 since 2002.[22][23] Freese joined Jim Edmonds, the man he was traded for, as the only players in Cardinals history to hit an extra-inning walk-off home run in the postseason.

In Game 7 of the World Series, Freese hit a two-run double in the bottom of the first inning, bringing his 2011 postseason RBI total to 21, an MLB record.[24][25] The Cardinals went on to win the game and the series,[26] making Freese a World Series champion for the first time. For his efforts, Freese was named the World Series MVP.[27] He became the sixth player to win the LCS and World Series MVP awards in the same year.[28] Freese also won the Babe Ruth Award as the postseason MVP.[29]

So, there you have it !! Payson Freese Rich :)

Welcome, Payson Freese Rich

Little Payson was born this morning, February 28th at 8:53 am. He weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long.

He's a cutie, with a DIMPLE ! in his chin. Everyone says he looks like Tagg (Zac and CJ's boy)

We're having a baby today !!

Landon is so excited !

Kacey is patiently waiting, just wishing it would hurry up and be over :)

PS - Landon is NOT dressed like this today, this was the other day at work. He was showing them the finer points of being a nerd :)

Boy what a Friday !

Treyson unloading his back pack at Kindergarten

It looks like Mrs. Carpenter is getting mad at him - but she isn't, I promise :)

I was glad to see the netting over the kid's playground at the Rec-plex.  No need to worry about getting bonked on the head with foul balls anymore !

Sometimes  I really love the pics I take :)

Collecting the eggs from the chicken coop at Grandma's

Doesn't feel like February today !

On to the playground at Riverside Park
Stopping in at the Dollar Store - we saw Stacy there !  "Hi Stacy !"

Up to the cemetery  - Tagg had a lot of questions about the "dead people" - he had fun cleaning up decorations, looking at the pictures on the headstones, "Grandma, this guy must really like deer!".

It was a gorgeous day !

Blowing Bubbles

And catching them :)

Middle Child

Grandpa Roger's first holding of his namesake.  Tagg, "the middle child now" taking a break from being "challenging" and pointing out a few things about T.R. (Thatcher Roger).

Sleeping away - CJ thinks he has his nights and days mixed up :(

Tagg, explaining the finer points of how to "milk" a baby :)
