Pickles + Jalapenos = Unhappy Hubby

We went to Subway last night and picked up supper.  Roger D. got a footlong tuna fish with pickles (just pickles)

Halfway through eating his sub, he let out a yell...............apparently one of the jalapenos accidentally got dropped in the pickle container, and then transferred onto Roger D's sandwich.  It was halfway down his throat before he realized his mouth was burning.

I was not as sympathetic as I should have been..........I was laughing too hard :)  He was NOT a happy camper, and as he crawled into bed 2 hours later, was complaining that his throat hurt, and it was probably that !*#&%(*# pepper that did it ;)

Odds and Ends

I am going to try this.  Ordered me a clicker today !

Also, we watched Mitt last night on Netflix.  A good one hour spent.  I would encourage anyone to watch it, whether you voted for him or not.  You will get to see the REAL man, REAL family.  No gimmicks.

Friday Fun

Payson is what you would call a picky eater, but I've found something he really likes !!  Scrambled Eggs :)  He came climbing up the stairs this morning, I could hear his little voice, and his daddy too.  They were going to let mom and sister sleep in.  I asked him if he wanted an egg, and he got a smile a mile wide.  Sure enough !

I had just sat down to eat my breakfast too, so we sat in the sun, and ate and chatted with his dad.  It was a great time to be together. 

His dad will have him doing pull-ups before you know it !

Later, I walked up to Phyllis Waldron's home to visit. It is probably 3/4 of a mile (one way).   It was a beautiful morning.  Cold, but beautiful.   I'm as SO SO SO glad we live up here in this valley, and not down in the smog infested nether regions.......

When I got home, they all came up to say HI - and they were all looking so spiffy, that I snapped a cute family picture of them all.  I just LOVE it.  They are a cute little family.

We had dinner at LuAnn and Ben's on Monday night.  Sloppy Jo's and salad.  It was great !  In case you are wondering about the plastic table cover.....I made both my mom and LuAnn a table cloth years ago, with all of the families (extended) pictures and hand prints.  Neither of them dare use it without a cover.  I wish they both would just say to heck with the cover, and use it more often.  Till it wears out !  Heck the pics have faded due to age, and you can hardly see them anyway, so who cares about stains.  Not me :)    BUT - on Monday night it WAS a big help to Kacey (haha)

We've got to start saving all of our comics for Treyson - he loves them !   They came up to drop something off last night, and finished off the last of the cheesy potato bacon soup I made on Monday.   It was delish.

Saturday Happenings

Cameron is turning 11 this week.  They celebrated  yesterday.  Love this picture of him.  He looks so happy :)

CJ posted took this picture a week or so ago.  I guess she had a little helper out pushing snow.  

Yesterday Zac ran in the St. George Half Marathon.  He and Rog went down on Friday afternoon, he ran the next morning, and they were home by 3 or so yesterday afternoon.  His time was 1 hour 30 minutes and 12 seconds.  I guess he had quite the cheering section cheering for him at the end ;)   You'll have to ask him about that sometime.  He's now all qualified for his 3rd St. George Marathon in October !

I went over and watched Treyson play basketball yesterday morning.  His team won.  Way to go Treyson !

Landon watched 4 little boys, while me and CJ and Kacey and LuAnn went for lunch at Taggarts. (Mom was sick:()  We had an enjoyable time visiting together.  Brightyn slept the whole time (we took her - Landon didn't think he could handle 4 boys and a newborn :)

I brought Landon back a Chicken Enchilada as a big THANK YOU for letting us have some alone girls time.  Thanks Lando !
